Along The Ride Novels & Stories

Its muscles shifted nervously beneath him. Another pulse hit. Stronger. Closer. His grip tightened on the reins. Aria. Still alive. But fading. Time was running out. “Move.” The group surged forward. They rode through the night. Across rivers. Through forests. Over rocky hills. Hours passed. Nobody complained. Nobody slowed. Their Alpha drove them relentlessly. Every time they stopped, even briefly, Kael felt it. That pull. Guiding him. Leading him. The closer they traveled, the stronger it became.

At seventeen, Damien Delta severed all ties with his best friend. Without a single word or explanation, he cut Harrison Kane, out of his life completely. For years, Damien stayed on the circuit, masterfully calculating his schedule to make sure their paths never crossed. When dodging Harrison became too difficult, Damien quit driving altogether, stepping away from the track to build the cars instead. He thought he was safe behind the scenes. He was wrong. When the Delta empire faces complete ruin, Damien is forced to break his own golden rule. Dragged out of retirement for SLAT—the most prestigious, brutal racing tournament in the world—he has to step back into the driver's seat.  And

Elise left the hospital with Damien’s message still open on her phone. The man in the dark suit had stood at the billing desk the whole time she waited for her rideshare. He never looked at her, but she felt him there. She sat in the back seat of the car and kept her bag on her lap. The driver stayed quiet. She was glad for it.

Bicycle Ride Excursion They mounted the bicycles and set off along a narrow dirt path, trees lining both sides. “I can’t balance very well… I’m going to fall!” she cried. With calm confidence he replied, “If you fall… I’ll fall with you.” Hours passed in love, joy, and laughter between Adel and Naomi. At times Naomi rode while Adel sat in front of her; at others, Adel took the lead and Naomi sat ahead of him. They fell, rose again, brushed the dust from their clothes, and continued laughing.

The ride takes almost half a day. We’re all packed in a black van — me, Calix, and five of his bikers. The back is filled with toolboxes, helmets, and spare bike parts that rattle every time the van hits a bump. Calix sits beside me, one arm resting on the window, quiet as usual. The others are loud, tossing jokes, arguing about who’ll win the tournament. Music plays from someone’s phone, loud and heavy. Even though it’s noisy, I’m lost in my own head. I still don’t know how I ended up agreeing to this, pretending to be Calix’s girlfriend.

It’s not a combination I’m accustomed to. We’re heading to Payson early on a Sunday morning and the road is mostly empty. Sofia’s arms locked tightly around my waist make the ride sweeter. It’s been a long time since I’ve ridden with a babe on the back. It wasn’t something Savannah cared for. I gain speed and enjoy the wind against my face and the roar of the engine. I allow my thoughts to settle on the club. There’s nothing like working out problems while flying free.

THE RIDE got a little bumpy going up to the town because the truck was pretty old. It jumped every time it ran on an uneven road. Yric with his friends held tightly to the side of the truck as they all sat on its back not to get hurt. His hands had gone numb. The street would be quiet if not only for the rumbling sound of the truck. There wasn't a single soul walking outside.

Jessamine The ride to Aldenwood is a two-day journey. Twelve hours in and I’m already miserable. Between the scorching sun beating down on me, the saddle bruising my thighs and Kier’s gaze digging into my back, I can’t tell which is the main cause of my abject misery. I forge ahead, taking a swig from my water skin, and I wipe the sweat from my neck, panting.

Mounted atop his faithful steed, Chai embarked on the winding path that snaked its way through nature's embrace, ready to embrace the adventures that lay ahead. As Chai urged his horse forward, the rhythmic symphony of hooves reverberated through the serene atmosphere, blending seamlessly with the delicate rustling of leaves that danced playfully in the breeze. It was as if the very air hummed with anticipation, carrying the echoes of ancient tales and whispered secrets. The distant calls of birds added their melodic voices to the enchanting chorus, weaving a harmonious tapestry that accompanied Chai on his journey.
