Novel & Cerita Alpha's Regret: The Luna Is Secret Heiress

"We had just found each other when Alpha Eric sent me to New Moon Rising." I smiled at her to mask my own pain. I know I am a bitch but even a bitch wants to be loved. "So I guess Carl is the new Alpha of Core Moon that makes you the Luna." She stopped eating and looked at me as if she hadn't thought of that."Can you help me?" She asked. "Help you with what." I asked, curious. She chuckled at me. "With being a Luna of course. I don't know how."

She knelt before him and confessed with a warm gaze. "My Alpha Charlie, since Eve ran away from the wedding, let me, her cousin, take her place. And she doesn't even love you. She was so irresponsible she terminated your child— that's the proof!" Charlie, lost in his own world of anguish, looked up and saw Lisa. The tenderness that once existed was gone, replaced by cold fury. He reached out with his sharp claws and tightly gripped her throat. "You slut! It's all your fault! If it weren't for you seducing me, how could I have been so blind?

"And the Silverpine Alpha came to his sickbed with a blade behind his smile. The alliance, or war, would have begun with the weakest of my pack first, the way these things always do. The low-ranked. The unranked. A Hollis girl with no rank and no protector and a father who'd sell her for less than the wolfsbane cost." His jaw works as if the words were stones. "He told me, to my face, that if I claimed you as my Luna, you would not live to see the full moon. That you would simply vanish one night, and he would spread his hands and grieve with me, and what could an Alpha's grieving son ever prove against a sworn ally?" The cabin has gone very quiet. Outside, the wind is rising off the range,

She said, slowly standing upright. “Luna?” The second woman whispered, her voice trembling. “Is that you? But…but you’re dead. You’re supposed to be dead.” She took a step back, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and surprise. “It truly is you, isn’t it?” The first woman came closer trying to inspect her face, Athena avoided her gaze. “Your eyes, your hair…you were our Luna, Alpha James' heir. What kind of dark magic is this?” She insisted.

She opened her arms and wrapped them around me, careful but firm. I didn't fight it. I couldn't. I sank into her warmth and let myself be held, because it had been so long since anyone had touched me without hate. My body shook as silent sobs wracked through me. "Hey, doc," Lester's voice cut in sharply. "No hugging the prisoner." Dr. Mendez pulled back slowly, fury flashing across her tear-streaked face. "She is not a prisoner," she snapped. "She is our Luna. She carries the Alpha's mark, and she is carrying the heir."

I whispered menacingly, but my question only seemed to feed the cynical smile on his face. "Your Alpha here no longer has his mate, nor his heir!" Icarus revealed, and the crowd was thrown into a frenzy. I felt strength leave my body, and my mouth dropped in shock. How did he know? Was Lisa with him?! What is going on? I asked myself as I rushed forward to tackle Icarus off the podium. However it was too late, before I could make a move, he dropped another revelation, one that had me rooted to the spot.

Luna echoed, her voice firm despite the tempest of emotions raging within her. The smile on the woman’s lips widened slightly, yet, it had no cheer or warmth in it. “I am Selene,” she spoke, her tone ringing with an ancient authority. “The true heir of the Forgotten Alphas.” Luna felt her heartbeat halting. True heir? That was just impossible. Or is she? I thought I was the last in line-the only one left to continue the line. But then staring at Selene, she'd figured it all out. It was the relic, it was the power, it was the bond with the moon. All this could not be just hers. The Forgotten Alpha legacy was way larger than she could ever have even imagined.

She felt on top of the world being the only one who knew their secrets, she already had Hava in the palm of her hand and Lily would also bend to her will. "And to think he made a fuss over an heir when the child isn't his and that darn wretch easily deceived him into thinking so". She swore to make Lily bow to her and beg her not to expose her secret, she intended to make her pay for making a mockery out of her in front of the Alpha. "With all that is going on, I could tear this whole pack apart if I just let their secrets slip, Alpha Reid would feel so betrayed and have no choice but to come to me and then the title of the Luna would be given to me and Lily would be exterminated.

"But the Alpha who wants you dead; his name is Alpha Veron Winterbourne." I felt a jolt in my heart at the word dead. I assumed "take me away" meant kidnapping, not unaliving me. "Why, Mom?" I inquired, afraid. Mom wiped away her tears and resumed telling me, still keeping her back toward me. "He doesn't want you to be his nephew, Luna." "What's a Luna?" I had no idea what she was talking about. She spun around. "A luna is the female leader of a pack and also the alpha's mate."

"After leaving NorthWulf, I'm just an average woman." Marma shook her head. He moved from his position and sat in front of Rula. "Luna was born based on a prophecy that has been believed for countless years," Marma explained. Her words were similar to those of Rondolf and Xabar. Marma added. "Even though NorthWulf has a new Luna, the real Luna is you." "Especially since you've given birth to an Alpha." Marma completed the sentence. "Melisam is an Alpha."
