Alpha's Regret: The Luna Is Secret Heiress の小説・ストーリー

With one last look at the room that had witnessed so many tears and disappointments, I walked away. (Alexander's POV) "Alpha heir, there's an urgent situation at your den." The mind-link from Sarah interrupted my conversation with the healer attending to Ivy. Ivy's blue eyes watched me curiously as I frowned at the interruption. "It can wait," I replied dismissively. "I'm dealing with pack business." "Sir," Sarah's mental voice was strained. "Luna Aurora has taken multiple travel sacks and all her possessions. She said she won't be returning." A chill ran down my spine. Aurora had threatened to leave before, but she'd never actually packed her belongings.

And the way they stopped talking, I could say that they were talking about me. ‘Keep the past differences aside and remember that they are Felicity’s family,’ I told myself, plastering a fake smile. Hello, Alpha Stephen and Alpha Aleena," I greeted them. I didn’t use the Luna title for Aleena Glint, knowing very well about her craze for listening to Alpha words for herself. More than Alpha Stephen, she was dangerous. She was known as a power-hungry and strong woman. Hell, she was famous for trapping Alpha Daniel to become the Luna of his pack for power.

Vivianne is called in, and the Luna ceremony begins. As I watch her being crowned the Luna of the Mountain Shadow Pack, there’s a bitter taste on my tongue. My heart wrenches at the sight of what I am seeing. And I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it. I have no power over whoever Alpha Kieran wants to make his Luna.

Do not falter. I could still taste her. Still feel her nails raking my back. Still hear her whisper: Tonight, they’ll see I’m yours. The hall hushed as the eldest elder rose. His voice carried, smooth as a blade. “Alpha Luther returns to us stronger than ever. Tonight, before our allies and rivals alike, he will speak of the future—of the Luna who will stand at his side.” Every eye turned to me. Recce surged, snarling so loud I thought the hall must hear it. Say it. Now. She’s ours. She’s Luna.

When he returns a few moments later, he brings a woman with him. "Hello, Aurora." Nalani is more beautiful than ever. Her skin glows and her eyes sparkle with…malice? No, that can't be right. Why would she hate me? "I see no reason to delay the inevitable," Evander declares. He's in full alpha form now – regal, stoic, ruthless. I can feel the power rolling off him. "Aurora, you will hand over the title of Luna to Nalani in a formal ceremony on the night of the next full moon, which is tomorrow night. As your first act in your new role in the pack, I want you to kneel before your Luna and swear your allegiance."

"Then let me be your General. Let me be the Alpha who stands behind the Queen. I don't care about the 'Regret' anymore, Elena. I care about the Return." The "face-slap" of his humility was the final brick in the wall of my anger. I didn't forgive him—not yet. Five years of pain don't vanish in a single night. But as I looked at our children, safe and sleeping in the warm light of the cabin, I realized that the "Hidden Luna" was no longer a secret. We were a Pack. And the 100-chapter journey of The Alpha’s Regret: The Hidden Luna’s Return was just moving into its most dangerous phase.

“What?” “Did he not tell you?” I frown, surely it slipped his mind because he's busy. “Alpha Knox is making me Luna of Flame Valley before we go off on our honeymoon.” “Listen, I'm all for kinks, no shame it.” she snickers. “You can play Luna in his bedroom but outside of it? You're nothing and will remain so. Everyone can see it, you'll never be worthy of the status of Flame Valley's Luna. She who isn't to be named was a luna through and through..” she trails off, bringing Thalia up once again, despite Knox's outlawing all things related to her.

It reminded me of someone. Of Scarlett. I frowned deeply before letting out a bitter laugh. "No..." I muttered to myself. "It can't be." I rubbed my temples as though trying to chase the ridiculous thought away. Scarlett couldn't possibly be here. And she certainly couldn't be the woman standing beside Alpha Dominic. The woman inside that car was the future Luna of Ashwood Pack. According to my informants, she was also the heiress of Moonlight Pack and the woman chosen to become their future Alpha.

"It's talking about something called Lunar Heirs. Wolves born carrying an ancestral gift tied directly to the Moon Goddess's own power. And Mira, our family name is right there. Everly. Named specifically." Cold understanding crawled slow up my spine. "That's not a coincidence. Someone wrote this down on purpose, and someone else tried very hard to make sure nobody found it again." "There's a name mentioned twice," Mira said quietly, tapping a smudged line near the bottom. "An Alpha council elder. Malachi. The document says he decreed Lunar Heir bloodlines were, and I'm quoting directly, too dangerous to exist freely."

Yet here he was, claiming the boy as his own. The raven cried again, a single, mournful note echoing across the frozen landscape. Winter turned back to the horizon, the decision made, the future already reshaping itself around the newborn heir. August let out a sigh and straightened, clearing his throat as he met Winter’s gaze squarely. “Whether you recognized Imogen as Luna or not, Alpha, we must make arrangements for her burial. She gave you a child—your first, your heir. She did not die as merely another woman in the harem. The court, the people, Torrine—they will remember her as Luna.”
