Amber. Mga Nobela at Kwento

Her drink is as unnaturally bright red as her hair and it looks… fizzy? “Perfect, my favourite.” Amber beams. Cam tilts her head in confusion. “What do you mean? I’ve never made this one before. I’m testing new drinks on you guys tonight. How can it be your favourite?” She asks. Amber just shrugs and starts drinking so I take pity on Cam. “Amber is an Oracle. She tends to know things she shouldn’t. It’s easier to just roll with it.” I recommend. If Cam is surprised, she doesn’t show it. I’m starting to think there isn’t anything that can ruffle this girl. Amber nods

I needed this and I was going to make the most out of it. Calling Rhea and Veronica to join me in a toast, I poured three shots and passed it to them. “To freedom!” we all cheered and drank. The song ‘Up’ by Cardi B came on and we felt the urge to dance. Nodding to ourselves, Veronica grabbed Connor who gladly came with her while Rhea grabbed a random blonde-haired guy. Since Levi was nowhere to be found, I slipped in between Caleb’s conversation with an unknown girl. “Wanna dance? Cuz….I wanna dance.” I slurred a bit.

**Kade. Ace swirled the amber liquid in his glass, staring into its depths as if it held the answers he sought. Kade had been a part of his past, a figure who had once stood by his side during the bloodiest days of their youth. But while Ace had chosen a path that led him to power and respectability, Kade had gone another route—a route that had turned him into something else, something dark and lethal.

She cautiously took a sniff. The aroma was rich, the alcoholic scent almost negligible. Though not a big drinker, she knew she would not get drunk from this glass! "To a fruitful collaboration!" After a sniff, Amber felt a slight relief. She did not gulp down the wine but instead clinked glasses with Hansley and took a small sip, her pretty face apologetic. "I'm not good with alcohol, forgive me for my poor drinking skills, Mister Mendoza." With that said, she returned the unfinished glass to the maid's tray.

She shook the though and focused on the discussion that Carmen was having with two blondes. "Amber are you okay? You seem out of it and you haven't touched your food yet!?" Carmen inquired with a curious glance. "Here, it helps your appetite." One of the blondes named Lily handed her a glass of wine, she didn't know the name but she hesitated before taking it from her hands with a small 'thanks'. Carmen was still looking at her with deep concern, but Amber summoned a smile and she went back with her conversation.

“This place is beautiful.” Like you. “Have you never been?” “No. We don’t really come around your parts Derreck.” “Hello, my name is Amber and I’ll be taking care of you today, what would you like to drink today?” “Water and a glass of red wine please.” “Yes ma’am and for you sir?” “A glass of water please.” “Of course. Would you like anything to start off with?” “Derreck?” “Can we get the shrimp and steak bites please?” “Right away sir. I’ll be back with your drinks.”

she muttered, before ordering her first round of Four Horseman – Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Johnnie Walker, and Jameson. And a shot of amaretto for me.

“Sure. That sounds great. Whatever is fine. I’m not picky.” Amber played the polite host and told Leo to feel free to have a seat while she fixed his drink. She pulled a bottle of gin and tonic water from her liquor cabinet. She poured him a double and wished to God she could have a real one of her own. To fool Leo into thinking she was also partaking, she poured some plain tonic water into a glass for herself. It would be fucking disgusting but a girl had to do what a girl had to do.

It was getting easier to do. Amber put on her own pair. She went to snap a pick of them together until she realized she didn’t have her watch. Fuck! She sipped on her non-alcoholic beverage and soon grew bored with the commentary from the over packed Times Square. She channel surfed as Leo and Grayson entertained themselves by seeing who could chug the flute of cider the quickest.

I snort and laugh, "thank you, just found then answer I was looking for." "Who the fu..." Before he can finish, I step toe-to-toe with him with a smile, "Alpha Emerald, Beta Emerald, and Future Warrior Pack Leader of Silver Moon Emerald. Now Jacoby and Liam, if you want Alpha Archie to respect you, open your damn mouth and give your opinions. There is a way of doing it respectfully without pissing him off. Not difficult. Now Jacoby tell your Alpha over there what Bradley's deal is with Connor?"
