But Chris quickly withdrew his hand, looking uncomfortable. Anne just smiled and whispered, "Don't worry, Tris will never know." Chris looked at her, still feeling uneasy. "I don't know but Anne—“ Anne's smile grew wider. "I have an idea. We can start with something small." Before Chris could respond, Anne leaned in and pressed her lips against his. Chris was taken aback, but his body soon reacted, and he found himself kissing her back. The kiss grew more passionate and intense, with Chris pushing Anne against the bookshelf behind her. He placed his hands on her waist, while Anne wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer.
