The door opened again. It was my lawyer who walked in dressed in a black suit, holding his briefcase “Good evening,” he said politely. He looked at me and nodded. “Mr. Jacobs.” Then he turned to the officer. “I’m Barrister Anderson, Mr. Jacobs’ legal representative.” “Please, have a seat,” the officer said. The lawyer sat beside me. “My apologies for the delay, Mr. Jacobs,” he said quietly. “I had a court hearing and my phone was on silent. I came here immediately after seeing your message.”

My gaze lingered at the attorney who is currently looking at the menu. He is mestizo with a slightly tanned skin maybe because of outdoor activities but what caught my attention is his familiar presence. That arrogant aura, the smirk and even his eyes and the way it darkens every time he turns serious. He surely looks like someone I know. "So Attorney, your law firm handles all the legal affairs of the Bachs, including the medical lawsuits, right?" He nodded, giving me his full attention. "Can I see a copy of the number of lawsuits filed against our hospital for the past years?"

After that, he sat back in his position, eyes closed while rubbing her temple.

She looked in my direction as I walked in. "Samantha Jones?" She grinned. "Yes, I apologize for keeping you waiting," I grinned back. She stood up to shake my hand, and I returned the gesture. "No, that is fine. I am just glad I was not late. I would not want to upset Mr Williams by delaying his bride." I am not sure if I should smile or not. She laughed as we sat. "I'm Charlotte Jackson, and I will be your attorney. Let us get started." She pulled out her laptop.

"Hello, Attorney James. It's Alda Harrington. Please respond; it's urgent." The moment I hit the button that says "sent," I got a notification on my I*******m that read: "Hey Alda, been a while. How are you and how is Tyler?" Attorney James was the lawyer I used to sign my house ownership over to Tyler. I’m busy after this, so I scheduled you first thing today.” I smiled. “It’s okay, Attorney. Thank you for meeting us today.” He nodded and turned to my husband. ‘Let’s talk about your case, Mr. Green. I want you to tell me everything and introduce every possible person involved in your case. Let’s not leave a single detail behind. You can trust me and my professionalism. Money can never buy my principles and honor.”

Caroline chuckled lightly because honestly she was also confused. Shelly opened the door to the board room and Caroline saw Xavier looking at her with furious expressions before his gaze fell on Caroline and he stood up to greet her personally. “Gentlemen, please meet Caroline Heard, our new Attorney at Law and our legal advisor. She will be dealing with my personal dealings and accounts while Mr. Anthony will carry on his duties at the firm. Please have a seat”. He pulled out a seat for her next to his chair and gestured her to sit.
