Alex’s pov “Alexander Veyron” “I never thought I would see you again after you declined all my invitations,” Victor Ballmer said, his voice flat but heavy enough to cut through the space between us. His gaze travel over me, like he wanted to strip me bare. “Imagine my surprise when my secretary gets a call from one of your people asking for a meeting.” “Victor Ballmer, Its being long” I growled stepping into his office. Victor’s lips curled into that lazy smile. “Not that long. I heard you got into bed with a shark,” he replied smoothly, his voice carrying a mocking warmth. “Funny, I always thought you were the shark. Seems you’re losing your touch Alexander.”

He turned the screen toward me. It was a video. Grainy. Taken in secret. It showed a figure in the shadows… talking to Bella. Just before her arrest. The voice was unmistakable. My stomach dropped. “That’s… Victor,” I muttered. “My head of security. He—he helped her?” Daniel nodded grimly. “Looks like Bella wasn’t working alone after all.” Behind me, Ivy stepped closer, her face pale. “So what now?” she whispered. I stared at the screen. “We’re not done,” I said.

“Now, why are you really here, Victor?” He turned to face her fully, the humour gone from his expression. “Well, we never finished our conversation at the café. But hearing this psycho called, it’s clear we have a bigger problem.” Silence pressed in, thick and heavy. “You shouldn’t be involved,” Salima said finally. “This isn’t your fight.” “Bernard was my best friend,” Victor said quietly, almost painfully. “Roman is like a son to me—that’s if he’s not even mine.”

Romano said with a wink,making Elijah and Randeep chuckle. "You said it correctly,Victor. I am lucky...lucky to have some loyal people around me." Elijah said ,patting Romano's back. I shook my head. These men are insane. "But your happy days are finished. " Victor said as he stood up. "First I kill your parents ,then you and then your men. I won't kill your wife...after all she is beautiful. I can marry her. " Victor said with a ugly smile. Elijah walked towards him and caught his throat in his hand.

Victor exploded from the room and stood at the top of the stairs, his incandescent rage blazing from his eyes, while he leveled his glare down at Dominic and his team, who hunched under it below. "You bastard!" Victor spat, echoing through the halls of the building, "Don't think you've won! Look who's here with me!" With the flourish of a maestro, Victor revealed Valarie, her half-nude body beaten and bruised. The poor girl cried and shivered, her eyes pleading. The team led by Dominic looked up to meet their gaze, somber-faced. Arthur's eyes narrowed as he clenched his jaw in anger.

"It's over, Victor! Just give up!" But Victor didn’t look scared; he only smiled. “Did you really think you could trick me twice, Tracy?” he said quietly, stepping backward. “You should know by now — I don’t walk into traps.” He pressed something on his wristwatch, and in seconds, two motorbikes roared to life from the alley behind the restaurant. His men. And before anybody could do anything, Victor sprinted towards them, dodged behind the SUV, and clambered into the passenger seat.

"You think someone betrayed us?" Nikolai turned slightly, his eyes catching Roman’s. "Yes," he said, "someone made a mistake. And I don’t forgive mistakes," he said pressing the remote control and the screen on the wall lit up. Gasps rippled through the table as everyone glanced at Victor wide-eyed. "So tell me Victor, why is there footage of you picking up the envelope just right after Roman dropped it on my table..." The silence that followed was deafening, no one dared breathe too loudly lest they irk the boss. Victor was sweating uncontrollably as he fell on his knees, his hands lifted in surrender. He didn't get a chance to apologise because the next second a bullet tore through his sku

"No mistakes. Don't matter if her daughter is there. Clean up after." Elena's breath was sucked in. "That's... that's my mother," she whispered. Killian shut off the video, observing her. "Elena—" "No. Play on." Her voice was rough, but firm. He clicked to the next file. This one was clearer—Victor standing with two men outside an upscale townhouse. One of them was Dante. Younger, more naïve. His face unreadable. “Consider it your test,” Victor said. “Handle it clean, and you’ll earn your place.”

Victor closed his eyes for a moment before turning to look at the waiting court and his parents. “Lady Viktoria of Ezorona has been born.” He sighed. He knew that he couldn’t really call her Lady since she was a dhampir, but he hoped that he wouldn’t be punished for doing this just this once. His father scowled before storming away. His mother patted the sides of his arms and whispered that there was always the next time, but Victor knew there wouldn’t be. This was the only chance the saints had given him. Viktoria’s POV

SOMEWHERE. 9:00PM Victor sighed as he picked a ball out of the basket, balancing it on the gold tee with meticulous care. He took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing as he focused on his target. With a swift, powerful swing, he hit the ball off the tee. It soared through the air, cutting through the darkness before colliding with a sickening thud into the stomach of a bloodied, half-dead man tied to a pole.
