And if that happens, there’s no way you can turn back into your human form – ever again. It will be uncontrollable and if that happens, even love won’t cure it and win you back from your senses.” She said – like it was an omen that needed to be stopped right away.

His heart was frozen, filled with tar. He was a Beast. And nothing would change him. He was a skilled manipulator. One that made you doubt yourself. More than physical torture, he aimed for mental one. A part of me was worried. Even scared for this man with warm eyes. He looked like he hadn’t faced the darkness of this world. Like he wasn’t tainted with the filth I was sinking deep in. For some reason, I wanted to keep it that way. ***

Frost asked in a mock tone and mysterious scoffed at him. " Flames, Why don't you keep your mouth shut for once, Your punishment is to meditate with me for a full month, Diana don't mind him and besides why haven't they tell you about spirit beasts, Spirit beasts are supernaturals helpers and they are meant for powerful supernaturals like the one you are seeing " Mysterious bragged and Diana scoffed. The elevator dropped not up, not to another floor below, or underground. I felt the shift in the air the moment we passed beneath the casino’s shell. The scent changed, no more stale alcohol and sweat. Down here, it was sterile. Liam adjusted his suit jacket. “They’re cycling through southern regions tonight. Mostly unregistered wolves, low-profile. We’re not looking for drama. You said you wanted someone distant. Someone clean.” I nodded but didn’t respond. My gut twisted. I didn’t like this. I didn’t like the idea of buying someone who didn’t even know what she was being pulled into. But this wasn’t about love. This wasn’t about romance. This was about surviving a curse that refused to loo

Nobody moved. Nobody breathed. Its huge silver eyes remained locked on me. Then slowly, the creature lowered its head. Like a bow. The cave fell silent again. Trevor blinked rapidly. “…Did the monster just respect her?” Cassian stared at the creature carefully. “I don’t think it’s a monster.” Selene’s face hardened instantly. “It’s a spirit beast.” The title alone sent tension through the hunters. Gabriel glanced toward Lyra. “You knew this would happen too?” Lyra crossed her arms calmly.

I did everything to be a good friend, only to be treated as my so-called best friend’s scapegoat. When her husband found cigarette ash in their house, she claimed I was the one smoking. When she snuck off for a private rendezvous with her lover, she told him she was celebrating my birthday. And when she got pregnant, she pinned the blame on me again, declaring I was consumed with jealousy—that I had spiked her drink and hired someone to violate her. Enraged, her husband marched to my doorstep wielding a blade and hacked me to death. When I opened my eyes again, I had returned to the exact day she had asked me to cover for her affair.

Her sweet scent whispered in the night air, faint but distinct, teasing my senses and pulling me in her direction like an invisible thread. My heart raced. She was on the other side of the park. Was she in her wolf form? Some omegas never shifted, but I’d heard of a few who did. The urge to change into my wolf and track her pumped through my veins. But a wolf roaming through the city wouldn’t go over well. I didn’t care, but I didn’t want the locals trigger-happy and putting down innocent animals.
