I watched every nuance of the way her hand shook as she attempted to take a sip, but the way her lower lip quivered had nothing to do with being hungover. "Thank you." Her actions were stilted, still untrusting. Tick. Tock. The line we'd crossed the night before no longer mattered. We were nothing but strangers. "We are going exploring today and out of this house.
