“Jenna’s got cold feet,” Lily said, laughing. “She keeps texting me about whether it’s too late to cancel everything and move to Bali.”
Damian chuckled, easy and fatherly. “Tell her cold feet are standard issue. You just make sure the man knows how to warm them.”
Lily groaned. “Dad.”
Eli laughed too, a little too late, but it passed as normal.
Then the server leaned in to refill water glasses, and without meaning to, Eli adjusted his sleeve — just a tug, unconscious, to make sure the band stayed hidden.
