"Well, I won't hold it against you but I do believe that Marvel comics are way better than DC's" I winked for closure then grabbed my second treat. "Wow! I think I should pretend I didn't hear what you just said. Marvel? really?". He kept shaking his head as if he was trying to get my answer out of his mind. "I mean Batman, Superman..... these are THE superheroes !!"

There were even a few of the newer comic book based movies that she knew a little too well, thanks to her superhero obsessed sons. From the DVDs, she moved to the book shelves, idly reading through the titles. Again she was impressed with the classic titles, some an aggressive amount of heavy reading. There was a collection of video games in one corner, though she had yet to see a gaming system. He had little collections of things here and there, some clearly souvenirs from travels around the country, others a curious grouping of oddly feminine items. Most likely gifts from past admirers. That made Emma wonder about his dating past and the number of broken hearts he had left in his wake.

He had been her long time crush and finally she had her chance at dating him only to be dumped for a much prettier, hotter blonde senior. Shawn was every high school girls fantasy, his protruding abs would make them crave for a touch, his killer looks got their eyes dizzy at his sight, he was even hotter being the school's baseball captain and he was excellent at the game. Emily had a short lived romance dating the hottest, meanest and popular guy in school and when it ended she as the victim got no sympathy from the masses. Majority of the girls hated her for having Shawn's heart and Bailey was loved for putting an end to it.

I appealed to the fact that she was a DC Comics fangirl at heart. "You don't enjoy 'Superman' any less just because most journalists don't have superpowers, right? You don't disregard his entire Krypton backstory just because majority of the people in the world aren't like him?" I challenged. "Most orphans aren't billionaires and yet, 'Batman' is your all-time favorite."

With that done, I headed off to book a seat at TGI Fridays for later in the evening. With that done, I headed to the comic shop and got myself a few comics to read and a cute little keyring. I wasn’t a huge comic book fan, but I enjoyed a few mangas here and there depending on the plotline they had. Berserk was probably one of my favourites, but the volumes were always bulky so I usually ordered them instead.
