I was pretty good at it and at the urging of my then girlfriend Julie, had submitted a few to a story site named Erotic escapes where under the pen name hotforteacher I'd gotten some pretty good reviews. He knew that he should stay away from Raven, that it was too risky to continue seeing her. But he couldn't deny the pull that he felt towards her. Maybe there was some wisdom in the pages that could help him navigate the complicated situation he found himself in.

Most of them were what I expected—books on strategy, history, a few on Italian mafia politics. And then, tucked on the bottom shelf, almost hidden— "You weren't kidding about these?" Her voice was sharp, but I could hear the embarrassment underneath. "Put them back." "I'm not judging," I said, turning to face her. "I'm just surprised. You kill people for a living, but you read romance novels?"

His mouth moved lower, pressing hot, open-mouthed kisses to her collarbone, her shoulder, anywhere he could reach. Each kiss was a brand, a promise, and a reminder of who she belonged to. Emmeline was already lost in sensation, her body melting into the mattress and responding to his touch with shameless eagerness.
