The Art of Life and Love: The First Spark

The Art of Life and Love: The First Spark

Underneath the dove was a Bible verse: Romans 3:23. "Oh yea! Meant to ask earlier, but you got a tattoo? Yer only sixteen, how the hell do you have a tattoo?" He asked curiously. "Haha, oh this ol' thing?" He looked down at his dove. "I got this when I was fourteen with my mom, 'cause I got straight A's that year. The law in Pennsylvania has changed since, but at the time, one could get a tattoo at fourteen, so long as a parent consents and is present. She got one at the same time on her shoulder. That is after stuffing myself with good food and slap a ridiculous amount of skincare on my face including this gold mask. The next thing I know I'm being carried to the bed by those strong tattooed arms. ‘forEVEr’ or the way we pronounce it for-eve-err can easily be read from his right arm. Previously he only tattooed his left hand with drawings so I asked why not the other hand, why not words instead of drawings, so many why's that the next time I saw him I caught those Roman words already inked on his right arm. He told me he only put my name there because he's saving space for his three kids under mine.

The story is great! Sometimes I wanted to slap them to make them see reason and stop hurting each other. And is possible to see the growing of the female lead from an inmature girl to a mature grown up woman.

I am just shocked why is this book so under rated! It is just good, though the toxic relationship part was a little draggy, felt that both main leads were a little too petty but still glad all went well.

He can’t spare me, no matter how compliant I am. He stands from the bed and removes every piece of clothing from his body. The tattoos expand from his chest to his stomach, down to his strong torso. Black ink against his tanned skin. There are so many things written in Russian. But one particular thing catches my eye, it’s on his left torso, big and clear, “ To forgive is to sin.” The words send shivers racing down my spine. Who on earth writes something like that on their body? Not just write, but brand it into their skin permanently.
