Blaze’s grin widened when he felt Bash’s shell-shocked state. Tracking the scene from where he stood on the terrace, Blaze jumped off the railing once Lilith was out of Jayden’s sight. Lilith yelped back in shock as Blaze suddenly landed in front of her. “What do you want?” Lilith asked him coldly. “You can’t talk without your attitude, can you?” Blaze raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow at Lilith. “How does that concern you? Is my life connected to you?” She rolled her eyes at him. “Technically, yes. I’m your future Alpha.” He smirked.

Brooke looks stunning as she approaches Theo, and I’ve never seen either of them so happy. Slowly, the vision dissolves away. I draw a shaky breath, tears springing to my eyes as the people in front of me come back into focus. I look from Theo to Brooke and back again, dropping his hand. “What did you see?” Brooke asks, leaning forward. She reaches out for Theo, her brows drawn together in concern. “It was the future,” I breathe, swiping a tear from my cheek. I giggle, and I probably look like an insane person laughing and crying at the same time. “It was your Luna ceremony, Brooke. It was so beautiful.”

I snap a furious mind-link to Leila, who I know is still lingering just outside that heavy oak door, probably pressing her ear directly to the wood. ‘You’re going to pay for this later, Leila. I swear it,’ I growl internally, my fangs aching to drop. Her bright laughter bubbles back into my mind, sharp and utterly unrepentant. ‘Oh, stop being so dramatic, Future Alpha. You’ll be thanking me later. Just try to keep your tongue in your mouth.’ I violently sever the link before I can say something I’ll genuinely regret.

That was all I saw from his future before I slowly lost my consciousness.

My heart sinks as I realise the lid isn’t on the bleach, and it pours over me, burning my skin and ruining what’s left of my dress. I bite my trembling lower lip, vowing not to let her break me.
