Romans & histoires Blue Bloods: Celebrating A Family Legacy

“I don’t give a shit about dad’s approval, and I have never been jealous of you. All I wanted was to never be part of the shit company named after us. He wouldn’t let me go! I was happy to let you become the next blood sucker in this family.” He scowls at me but doesn’t say another word. The others come in and one of them grabs Tet pulling him to his feet and dragging him out of the room. I run back over to where Blue is laying on the ground and kneel next to her. “Blue. Come on baby wake up.” I pat her gently on the cheek, but she doesn’t wake up. I place two fingers on the pulse point of her neck and only feel a faint thump against my finger.

Katleya asked with worry. Blue didn’t answer. Instead, he lay back on the bed, sighed, and used his arms as a pillow. He rested his feet on her legs. Katleya held his foot. “Hey! I’m asking you. What about your family? Will you let them lose another child again?” “This is for them,” Blue replied faintly. “Don’t believe what Auntie Belinda said. Everything happens for a reason.” “And I am the reason for everything. She’s right. I bring a curse to my family—about what happened to Pinkerlia and to…” His words faltered, and his eyes brimmed with tears. He turned on his side and shut his eyes.

He gestured to me. “What you saw tonight was not just a family matter. It was proof of what we stand for. We do not hide from accusations. We do not run from the past. We face it. We master it. And we rise above it. Azariah Ashford did not just defend herself tonight. She defended every principle this family has held dear for three hundred years. She proved that legacy is not about blood alone. It is about choice. It is about strength. It is about knowing exactly who you are.”

He was staring at me before he barked out loud. “You? You as the real heir? Oh, I don’t think this day would get better and better but you are delusional, human. Don’t you know who are you protecting right now? She’s Blue Blood and if you don’t know what it was, let me educate you. It’s the closest thing to a Vampire. So tell me, Timmy, don’t you afraid of Vampire?” He asked as I was looking at him before I turned to look at Sabel. She smiled.

I grabbed my head which was threatening to split. "So, you mean if I hadn't cut ties with my pack that day, I wouldn't face the truth today…” “Even if all that didn't happen, I believe one way or another your hidden self will surface and you'll still face this day.” “What exactly am I?" I asked, fed up with all his explanations. My dad sighed, "You are a blue blood because your birth mother came from the lineage of blue bloods." He answered. “Who exactly are these blue bloods?” I mumbles.

Especially not after I promised that I had no intention of doing that to her. “You’re thinking with your heart, not your head,” Father says, jabbing his index finger sharply into the center of my chest. “This isn’t about your feelings. It’s about our legacy. Our bloodline has remained pure for twelve generations, Arthur. Do you understand what’s at stake?” “What’s at stake is my family,” I counter. “Iris and Miles are my family. And I won’t let you or anyone else tear us apart.” Mother’s face hardens. “Just as I suspected. That human has corrupted you. Made you weak. The Arthur I raised would never put one insignificant human above his duty to his bloodline.”

“You can say that again.” I closed my eyes, breathing in his scent, the crackle of fire behind us fading into background noise. The Pale Fang had haunted our family for generations, stealing lives, staining legacies, twisting bloodlines. But we ended it. After all the loss, betrayal, pain, and confusion, we stood here. Victors. And watching the last of that cursed legacy crumble to ash? It was more satisfying than I ever dreamed.

Each eyes were pointed at her as she started. “I would like to thank everyone for coming in our annual extended family gathering. As members of the Sterling family, each one of you had brought great contribution in our society and we should be proud of our bloodline and heritage. We must continue working to maintain our family dignity and strive for a better future for our family legacy.”

To be human (or wolf) even while touching the divine. That was the Silvermoon legacy. Power grounded in love. Destiny embraced with humor. Impossible challenges faced with family by your side. And it would continue. Generation after generation. Challenge after challenge. Evolution after evolution. Because we’d built something that lasted. Something worth having. Something worth protecting and passing on. A family. A purpose. A legacy of making the impossible possible. And nothing—not cosmic forces, not ancient darkness, not the weight of infinite realities—would ever change that. That was our truth. Our certainty. Our unshakeable foundation.

He says. “Hmm legacy you say"She says looking a bit skeptical. All of a sudden she felt ridiculous in the gown she was putting on. "The rich really do know how to do things differently"She says. "This show of legacy the Vasilakis family speak of so highly. I guess your ancestors will turn and roll in their graves if just about anybody does anything to stain this so called Legacy"Lauren says suddenly feeling the surge of anger annoyance roll up her spine. “Why bother with the show of a marriage anyway?”She asks staring point blank at him.
