Bella: My father’s face fell when I said this, and I couldn’t tell if he was relieved I didn’t kill her or if he didn’t want it to be true so he could once more uphold the award for the father of the year. “Apparently, vampires cannot inject werewolves with a poisonous venom, and I know you are aware of this,” I said, and he attempted to speak, but I held up my hand. “Bonnie’s body was half-drained when I got into that room, and when I bit her, she died because someone had already killed her.”

She reluctantly sat there, looking at the Goddess in front of her. "Give me your hand," Hecate offered, showing the girl her upturned palm. She placed hers in it, a little surprised at the coldness meeting her skin. "You are grieving. Your heart has been broken by the vampire," the Goddess' voice sounded ominous and powerful, suddenly coming from all around her. Diana's breath hitched in her throat. The Goddess wrapped her hand around hers, her sharp and black nails quickly sinking into Diana's skin like tiny blades, drawing blood. Diana let out a pained mewl, eyes widening with alarm.

I practically raised these two boys on my own in this castle, apart from the tribesmen taking up the boys’ training responsibilities,” she introduced herself. “I am Bella Diaz, the Princess of the Royal Lycan Pack and this is Kai Grayson, my Beta Lycan, about which I did not know before discovering each other’s identities recently,” I introduced ourselves too.

I asked as I walked towards them. Bonnie looked up from Damien’s chest, and her face twisted when she saw me approaching. She pushed herself free from his arms and bolted away. “Stay away from me!” she screeched. “You’re a bad Mommy! It’s all your fault that the police took Auntie Vanessa and now I’ll never see her again!” I froze in place as her words hit me like a spear to the heart. How much had Bonnie seen? Did she not see Vanessa’s attempt to injure me, or did she not care?

Before I let her talk me out of it, I pulled the trigger and emptied my Glock into her chest. Bonnie went very still beneath me. She stopped screaming, stopped fighting, stopped thrashing. But something was wrong. There was no ash. I had never killed a child Vampire before, or any Vampire, for that matter, but I assumed they would react the same way as adults and instantly change to black dust. But when that didn’t happen, I shook her slight frame. “Bonnie?” She looked like a human child, lying there on the floor, covered in everyone else’s blood. “Is she…” Dax asked from right behind me.

Dylan asks. “Did you guys know Julia Boone is a vampire?” My voice drops to conspirationally low in an attempt to change the topic. “What?” Orlo’s brows jump into his hairline, but Dylan remains silent. Incredulously silent. “You know she is a vampire, don’t you, Dylan?” I look at him sharply. “Only a fool won’t know.” Dylan’s voice sounds distant. “You are saying I am a fool.” Orlo pops between us. “Yeah.” Dylan and I say in unison.

Nico just scoffed, "Believe me, Xander, I'm pretty sure you can lie out of this one, plus Layla may be a Bronwyn but she's not a genius." My brows furrowed as he said that. She must be the Lord's daughter. I didn't even know he had a daughter. "I heard my name!" An unfamiliar voice sang out. All three of us turned our heads to the left to see who said it. A blonde vampire strut towards us, smiling as we all looked at her. Xander quickly sat up straighter as she approached. I leaned back against Nico out of nervousness, but couldn't help but look over her features.
