“Hello my lovely readers.” I had so many emotions writing this book. It has been one of the darker books I have written this far. I would like to thank my sister-in-law Jamie for helping me every step of the way in this book. She has told me lines to keep... and lines to get rid of. She has also been one of my biggest supporters throughout my writing journey. So, I would like to dedicate this book to her. Also, my big sister Leanne... man, what I would get into if it wasn’t for these two lovely ladies?

Boring and very antisocial. My sister has always been a social butterfly. Loves to talk with people and loves to explore new things whereas I, on the other hand, prefer to stay indoors and read books. I love a good romance like the next woman but I'm more into murder mysteries and paranormal books these days. So many good things in them and I love to envision myself solving them but I also love the thrill of how everything ends. If they find out who did it or if the person who did it isn't alive anymore or what but I love the wait.

Not everyone could open their stores in front of the school. Serenity was able to open a bookstore here for a couple of years. Could she be leaning on the Yorks? “Ms. Newman, the bookstore is about a thousand feet from here. The first store on your left is the bookstore.” The bodyguard passed Mrs. Newman’s message to Camryn. “Camryn, remember what I told you. Beg for mercy on behalf of your sister. Regardless of the mistake Carrie made, she’s your biological sister!” Mrs. Newman reminded Camryn frostily.

The books that I enjoy reading are romance and mystery but I think I can try different genres with the amount of books in here. "How you read all of these?" "No. To be honest, I don't enjoy reading that much." I stared at him with disbelief. "But why do you have all these? For decoration? Collection?" "My sister, Cyrene, she brought these books here. She loves reading books like you and since she enjoyed staying here, she thought it would be best to leave these here." "Cyrene Lopez is your sister?" He smiled, as if he remembered something. "Yes. I already told you about her. That Tristan, Alicia, Cyrene and I have been friends since we were kids and that she is my sister."

I felt flustered as I could feel the pulsation on his chest, and my heart raced in tandem. Other factors notwithstanding, Yoran was really handsome. And with my 'pregnancy' becoming known, I was pampered more with each day, with countless precious stones and gourmet food pouring into my room like a waterfall. Yoran would check in every day, spoiling me and whispering sweet nothings until the whole pack became aware that I, the ugly duckling, had claimed his heart and might become his Luna someday. Today, he was sitting beside me when he asked seemingly offhandedly, "I heard your sister visited you earlier?"

I would've died if a colleague of mine hadn't come looking for me when I couldn't be reached. When I regained consciousness, I told Mom what happened. All she said was, "The fact that Amy treated you that way goes to show just how much of a failure you've been as a sister. You must've pissed her off with the things you said. Otherwise, why would she hate you so much?" All at once, I felt as though I'd been plunged into an icy pool of water. I was chilled to the bone. "Even if I'd been the worst sister alive, did that give Amy the right to kill me?"

Marissa stepped closer to Xander, a red blush dusting her cheeks. Dad and Mom immediately straightened up, their posture stiff and awkward. "Damn, looks like the Lipton family hit the jackpot this time! How did Marissa find such a handsome and rich boyfriend?" "I'm so envious! They sure are lucky." "Marissa has always been the more emotionally intelligent of the two sisters, so is it any surprise that her parents love her more? Now that she's gotten herself such an extraordinary boyfriend, how could Yelena possibly compare?"

With Khloe. I gave my sister a curious look as she was seriously looking for some book she wanted to read whenever she feels happy. A tragic book like Shakespearean collections or dark poetry she would always read loudly while pacing around in her room. But whenever she feels lonely, she would read a humorous one or an epic fantasy. She was that crazy. Lunatic, if I might add. No, she was just my sister that I loved to the bunch.

"Oh, for God's sake. Do you have any idea what kind of week I've had? Evan's graduation dinner is at the end of the month. If you pull one more stunt, I swear to God, I'll kill you myself." Then the line went dead. The warehouse fell quiet in the ugliest way. Lucas patted my face twice, almost fond. "Well. That's embarrassing." Evan slid the phone back into his pocket. "Told you. She'd rather lose him than inconvenience me." I didn't cry. I think I had gone too far past heartbreak by then. All that was left was the hollow sound of the last hope in me giving way. Lucas caught my chin. "Your sister wants you gone? We can do that."

We walked to the orphanage gates. When my sister, Nancy Walker—or perhaps she should now be called Nancy Quill—saw the Maybach parked out front, her eyes lit up. Her adoptive mother, Helen Bronson, took her hand and said, "Nancy, our family isn't actually poor. We were just testing you earlier. We didn't expect you to be such a good kid who doesn't chase after money. From now on, you'll be our little princess."
