I muttered, my face turning red as I stared at him.
Just then, he removed his hand, scribbling some words in his book, the nurses watching his every step.
“I don't know how you would take this information, ma'am,” he said, his voice low, which kind of made me nervous.
“What news?” I asked.
He exchanged glances with the nurses, shaking his head. What news does he want to say, and why was he delaying saying it? I was alive; that was what mattered, right?
“I'm sorry to announce to you that you have ¦lost your baby, and your womb is damaged. It might take a while to heal,” he said without a smile on his face.
