The Wife They Sent Away

The Wife They Sent Away

“To tell him who you are?” She shook her head slightly. “And then what? You tell him his father can’t be with his mother because you’re married to her sister?” There was a sharp edge to her words now. “You won’t just confuse him, you’ll break him.” A pause. “And you'll put him in danger.” The weight of that settled between them. “The Wolfe name comes with consequences,” she continued. “And so does the Vales.” Her eyes held his, unwavering. “Do you really think your wife would accept him? When she never accepted me?”

A Wife For My Brother

A Wife For My Brother

as he called her, was an exotic distraction and nothing more. In the second act of the opera, the protagonist sings this aria to assure her servant that her beloved husband will return, that one day she will see him arrive on a white ship, and he will run to meet her. He does return, but married to another woman. She felt that same anguish too, of having been a distraction while Daniel found the right woman to marry. And like Butterfly, she hadn't wanted to see the truth that was right in front of her eyes, convinced that he had loved her.

Good read, but wonder how many episodes are there? Is it gonna be more than 200??? If yes, even good story, I’ll stop reading it.. for me, too many episodes will be too many twists, many characters and side stories …

The wife

The wife

He placed the phone to his ear, praying he had the courage to tell his wife what was happening. "Who's this?" She asked. "It's me, honey. I have to tell you something." "What?" Her voice sounded dire. Can I go on? "It's about Ema, She fell unconscious..." "What!" His wife's voice rang repeatedly in his ear, "What happened to her?" "The doctor said she has a brain lesion apparently from her accident and it might be healing so—" "So what?" "Her memories are coming back." "What? No! We'll lose her." She was hysterical.

The Wife's Reckoning

The Wife's Reckoning

> "I'm the cold, detached wife. I'm the emotionally unavailable physician who spent more time in the trauma bays than in her own home. I was entirely too focused on my own career advancement to notice a lonely, neglected husband." Thelma looked utterly crushed. The absolute silence that followed was all the confirmation I required. I nodded slowly, the pieces of the puzzle locking into perfect alignment. The script practically wrote itself. The highly successful, unyielding female doctor; the busy, neglectful mother; the tragic, cast-aside husband who simply fell into the arms of a warm, supportive young woman. You could almost hear the whispers spreading through the manicured lawns of River

Affair with the Rockstar

Affair with the Rockstar

“I’m reading the Wife of Bath’s tale.” His eyes opened a bit wider. “Ohhh, the horny chick.” I smiled tightly. “Yes. That was Chaucer’s original title for it. ‘The Horny Chick’s Tale.’” He arched one eyebrow. “Am I wrong?” Actually, no, he wasn’t. The Wife of Bath brags that she’s been married five times, all to guys with great chests and large, um… packages. At one point she speculates on how much her hoo-ha would get at auction. Hint: she thought it would break records.

The Wife Who Walked Away Richer

The Wife Who Walked Away Richer

“Today, I take you to be my lawfully wedded wife. I promise to cherish you in sickness and in health. I promise to be your partner in all things. I promise to walk beside you, to lift you up when you are weary, and to celebrate with you when you fly. I vow to listen to you with an open heart, to speak to you with honesty, and to love you not just for who you are today but for the person you are yet to become. You are my home, my greatest adventure, my best friend, and my wife.” My heart tightened as I listened to his words. When he was done, it was my turn. “Today, I take you to be my lawfully wedded husband. I promise to cherish you in sickness and in health. I promise to be your partner in

The Cruel Wife

The Cruel Wife

The young couple inside the room was startled. The woman gently brushed the dust off my boy and asked in a soft voice, "Little one, are you all right? Where's your father?" Ash nervously picked at his small hands and mustered his courage. "Ma'am, my dad is sick. He's very cold right now. Could you lend me a blanket? I can trade you my St. Christopher medal for it. Please help my dad, okay?" The woman hesitated for a moment, then hurried to a cabinet and took out an unopened blanket, handing it to him. "Take it. I hope your father gets well soon."

A Wife’s Bitter Betrayal

A Wife’s Bitter Betrayal

Since giving birth, my wife Sandy Wore had this glow—she looked more stunning than ever. That night, when I got home from work, she was stretched out on the couch in a white romper that clung to her curves. She wasn't even trying, but the sight of her hit me hard. I sat next to her, careful, slow. But she knew what I was thinking before I said a word. Her eyes flicked to mine, catching the heat there, and she sighed.

She simply continued walking, her steps steady, her posture composed, as if the touch had never happened. Adrian’s hand fell back to his side, fingers curling into a fist. “You didn’t think to tell me where you were going?” he asked, voice low. Elena didn’t move back. She didn’t soften either. “I didn’t think I needed to.” There was no challenge in the way she said it. No defiance. And somehow, that made it harder to respond to. Adrian’s jaw tightened slightly. “You’re my wife.” Elena held his gaze, steady and composed.
