A Deadly Life Swap

A Deadly Life Swap

"I don't understand what you mean, Melanie. The whole nation envies you for marrying a man like him. You have a net worth people can only dream of, and life's perfect for you. I'd never set you up." She darted ahead and grabbed my sleeve. "Don't play dumb with me! He married you in our previous lives! You knew he was a monster, but you were waiting for me to step right into it! You didn't tell me anything! You knew! You knew!" I flung her hand away and sneered. "Ah, so you finally get it. You're not the only one reborn with memories." … In my previous life, I kindly made a bowl of meatball stew for Jonathan. He was a vagrant back then.

Life On Fire

Life On Fire

At the bottom in cursive writing the words 'Gabriel, Christian and Talon - March 4th, 2004' stood out to Lani. "I hate how much he's grown, sometimes I wish he was still my little boy..." Scar's mother spoke as she flicked the page, showing the 3 men once again. This time, they were much bigger and all of them were dressed in their uniforms. Scar didn't look very different in comparison to the photo, the odd stubble being the only thing Lani could point out. Here, the men were stood in a line, their hands clasped in front of them as the older male wrapped his arms around the two's shoulders. Lani couldn't help but see the similarities between him and the man on the far right, they looked muc

Life Wasn't Like This Once

Life Wasn't Like This Once

After I unzipped the compressed file, I played the video. In a church that had seen better days, a young man, looking to be about 18, was playing an old piano. The sunlight streaming in illuminated his bleached shirt, causing him to almost glow. The clean, innocent vibe he gave off was like a breath of fresh air, a gentle spring breeze caressing one lightly. Despite only half her face being visible, it was clear from Sylvia's profile that she was smiling gently. Her gaze was also full of adoration as she lost herself in the soothing music.

Living with His Mark

Living with His Mark

“Castor, you truly are the best.” “Are Oreos one of your cravings?” Christian asks. “I don’t have any cravings.” “Oreos and coffee are Livie’s guilty pleasures.” Castor sounds tired and I take him in again and notice the dark circles under his eyes and his disheveled appearance. “Castor sit down and eat some with me. Alpha I think we are done here. I haven’t seen my friend in a long time and the time in your dungeon didn’t suit him.” “I’m didn’t torture him or anything he was fed and just stayed down there.”

I wish I read this book before I read the 2nd book because the 2nd book isn't finished and hasn't been updated in awhile. If anything can go wrong in a story, it did in this book! The author had me glued to figure out how all these twists and turns were going to work themselves out. Must read!!

A Life Ransomed in Lies

A Life Ransomed in Lies

He exhaled sharply, forcing the tears back, and continued flipping through the pages. [They said as long as I have the money, I can ransom Joe back! No matter how much it costs, I'll do it. Today I picked up ten part-time jobs all at once.] … [Because we didn't have money, our son had to transfer to a boarding nursery in the suburbs. I'm not a good mother… he's so small… [When can I ransom Joe back? I'm so tired. [Just a little longer. When Joe returns, all this suffering will turn to sweetness.]

A Different Life

A Different Life

This is the story of a young man with a secret talent who plays good samaritan and finds himself at the center of a battle bigger than himself... but he won't be alone! At least that's part of the gist for now.😅 Now let's see how it goes… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "The ghosts in my house wouldn't be so bad if they could just stop trying to cook" which will not appear in this form because it's allowed to work around them and so I did.

The Rejected Wolf Returns

The Rejected Wolf Returns

“I’m not staying locked inside like some fragile thing.” “You’re not fragile,” Zack said, softer now. “But you are a target.” That made her pause, because she knew it was true. Zoe closed her eyes briefly, then nodded once. “Fine. Tonight, I will stay. Tomorrow, we will go together.” Zack studied her. Then, “Together,” he agreed. Later that night, Zoe sat alone in her Luna office. The Book of Life lay open in front of her; the pages had changed; they weren’t blank anymore. Faint writing—ancient and shifting—glowed softly under the light. Zoe leaned closer. Her breath caught. Images flickered across the page.

The Life She Stole

Anthony had come back to life too. He confessed, "In our previous life, I didn't marry you, it was Holly. Your parents claimed she was my savior, but I just couldn't warm up to her. That's why, when the time came to move on, I asked to be sent to the coldest, most remote outpost, hoping to get away from her. Sure enough, she couldn't stand the bleakness of the frontier and hightailed it back to Riverton in no time.

My Life as a Beast Keeper

My Life as a Beast Keeper

Salem yelled. "Aww, don't get mad," said Lisa soothingly. "Given how Layla grew up, I guess it's normal for her to like lower-class beastkin. Since she has a new one, can I have Salem then? He's always liked me more anyway. You won't mind me taking Layla's castoffs, would you?" The word "castoffs" made Salem go pale. He glared at me fiercely, his eyes reddening. "Absolutely not," I said, refusing immediately. "Salem was Mom and Dad's gift to me. He's mine, and I'll decide what happens to him."
