Scarred by fate
Seb.
Uncle Drew is on his knees, draped over his mate’s body, his whole frame shuddering with grief. My dad kneels beside him, head bowed, a steadying hand on his brother’s shoulder. Mum stands nearby, voice tight but controlled as she gives instructions to the she-wolves running in and out of the pack house. Dads unit are nearby, giving orders to warriors, and coordinating the clean-up.
Drew’s unit stand guard around him, faces carved from stone. All except his Gamma, who’s off on the grass, cradling another fallen body.
