The detectives say through the translator, handing me a business card before being escorted out. I’m about to cancel our dinner reservation when Kas insists that she still wants to go. She just needs a nap. After a three-hour nap, she does seem much better. We have reservations at a Michelin-rated restaurant that evening. The chef hears Bronx Mason and his new wife are in his establishment, so he invites us back to the kitchen for a tour. The food is spectacular and Kas is totally into the kitchen tour. The chef patiently answers all her questions about cooking techniques and flavors. He even gives her his phone number and says to call anytime if she wants to trade ideas.

I served her, then Mr Xavier before Chelsea and myself. “Yummy! Nanny Lyssa’s cooking is the best in the whole world.” Chelsea squealed in delight as she took the first bite of her chicken fried steaks. “Thanks, baby, I’m glad you like it.” “I love it, Alyssa, you are indeed a wonderful chef.” Lisa said, and I said my thanks, my gaze moved to Mr Xavier and saw him just sitting without saying anything. I took my gaze down and pondered, doesn’t he like the food or is the food too spicy or salty for him. I raised my head again and surprisingly found him staring at me, I looked down immediately, and he stood up.

I joked around. He just chuckled. I stood up from the stool, leaned forward, and gave him a kiss on the cheek, I let it linger there for a while. His skin felt warm under my lips. I moved back a little to watch his reaction and just like I expected his eyes widened in shock as he stayed frozen in place. I smile to myself in satisfaction. “Chef’s kiss, just for the food”. He sits down on the bed and I finally notice how I am dressed, my body covered by a blue silk V-neck sweater. How did I dress you?
