ALYSSA’S POV. The day dragged slowly and after a long boring day; it was time to go pick Chelsea from school. I entered the already waiting Bentley and Chris drove straight to the school. “Nanny Lyssa.” Chelsea squealed as she saw me. XAVIER’S POV. My office felt so mundane without having Alyssa in it. These days I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I no longer concentrate on my work but instead my mind is always thinking about a certain sexy secretary. I want to stop it, I don’t want to think about any female, not after the promise I made to Charlotte. I can’t let her down, not after everything she went through, I will keep my promise and make sure I stay clear of any woman. A bitter smile graced my lips at the thought of her, my Lottie. ALYSSA’S POV. I stepped down from the cab and saw a familiar figure sitting on the ground crying. I walked towards the figure and squat down. “Hey, are you okay?” I asked as I touched her shoulder. She raised her head up, and I could see trails of tears on her face. “What’s wrong?” I asked again, and she sniffed. “I’ve s…something to tell you, Alyssa.” She said and sniffed again. “Go on.” I urged. She cleaned her face before looking at me. “It’s about Frank.” I paused and listened to what she was saying. I was angry, shocked, and happy. ALYSSA’S POV. The blaring sound of my annoying alarm woke me up from my peaceful sleep. My dreams felt so real, it was about a certain someone I have a huge crush on, and I dreamt about him kissing me like his life depended on it. Fuck you alarm. After taking a nice hot bath to relieve all my stressed muscles, I went back to the living room. “Hey Aly, come eat dinner.” I heard Mum’s say. “Thanks, mum.” I pecked her cheek and saw Maria still seating on the couch, “Maria, come on.” She shook her head. “Oh, I’m filled up already. I took my cuff links and wore them under the squinting gaze of Chelsea. “Where are you going, Daddy?” Chelsea asked for the umpteenth time and I sighed. “I’ve told you before baby, I’m going to a business dinner party, and I’ll be home late. So go to bed and don’t wait for me.” I said as a matter of fact and she nods. I remembered how she waited for me when I attended one late dinner party, she refused to go to bed and waited even though it was midnight, she still didn’t sleep. After fixing my red tie, I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. I can’t believe she dare go against me, even when I insisted on her not doing it. She better get ready to receive her punishment for defiling me when she comes back, but to think about it, this is actually the first time my secretary is talking back at me and making her own decisions. ALYSSA’S POV. I still couldn’t believe the face I saw in the mirror after the quick makeover, James is very talented, and he knows what to do with my face.
