Chosen By The Moon By Izabella W Novels & Stories

Lupa whimpered in my head, knowing the amount of pain that would cause both Izzy and Damian, "Are you sure?" Izzy closed her eyes as she nodded her head, "He had his chance .... if he didn't want me back then for who I was, he doesn't deserve me now just because his stupid Moon Goddess says I'm the one ....." "The Moon Goddess has her reasons," Lupa grumbled, taking offense to Izzy's words. Izzy looked over at me with wide eyes, realizing how what she said must have sounded. "No! That's not what I mean! I just mean that if he didn't want me without the bond ....."

Brooke winks just before James pulls her in for a kiss. I sigh, only if I can swallow my pride and go to the Claiming Ball which is held once every year and on the second blood moon in the year, I may just get my mate. During a claiming ball, if you don't find your mate, you can take a chosen mate and claim her. The idea of taking a chosen doesn't sit well with me. I want my own mate, I want to see the woman that Selene fucking created just for me. Taking a chosen mate to me, is just like taking something or in this case, someone that isn't yours.

How did the moon goddess pair me with this deceitful person, can I trust her again with her judgment? “You know what I have heard enough of all of this, I’m done Alpha Jaden has the biggest pack, resources and he is the strongest who loves to fuck me all the time in better ways than you ever did, and is planning on making me his luna and I'm leaving this dump for good.” She stands and looks me in the eye, “I Jessica Moore, Luna of silver fang pack rejects Alpha Enzo Breyer of Silver Fang Pack as my mate and Alpha.”

"Or maybe it isn't, and you'll feel differently standing in that chamber with the eclipse actually bearing down on you. Either way, you know the shape of the choice now, completely, instead of only in fragments. That has to count for something, whatever you finally decide." I nodded against his chest, feeling the hum beneath my skin answer the contact the way it always did now, steady and certain, and understood that whatever I chose, when the moment finally arrived, I would choose it as myself, fully, rather than as someone still running from pieces of her own story. Twelve days, I thought, the number settling into place as we finally, slowly, began the walk back toward the castle. Twelve d

I could tell with one hundred percent certainty none of these women were that way. My father’s right hand man and Beta, a man named Cooper, had pulled me aside one day to tell me about a potential opportunity to find a mate. I had been invited to join the cast of some show called Luna’s Choice. At first, I brushed it aside. I wanted no part in something like that. There was no way any of the contestants on the show would make for a good Luna.

“Enzo, please. Just come for a little while! You don’t have to stay the whole night.” He sighed, shaking his head. “Isabella, why are you so obsessed with this?” “Because a Mate is a gift from the Moon Goddess.” I replied. His expression softened, and for a moment, I thought he might agree. But then he shook his head. “I’m sorry, Isabella. But I can’t.” I snapped. “Enzo, you’re being stubborn! What harm could it do just to come and enjoy the festival?” He exhaled, running a hand through his dark hair. “Because I don’t believe in it, Isabella. I don’t believe the Moon Goddess should decide who we love. I don’t want to be tied to someone just because the Moon Goddess says so.”

A smile that held no warmth held within it. Once the neutrality blessing was complete, the chamber began to hum. Kieran was brought forward. As the priestesses began to circle him as they chanted, but what happened next surprised everyone. A portal opened, and a woman stepped through. Her body looked as if it were made up of moonlight itself. It could only be one person. “Moon Goddess,” I breathed, bowing. Everyone else has done the same. “Rise,” said the Goddess, “who here claims that my will was carried out properly. By removing his man’s wolf Demon?”

Darian, the Future Alpha King, was born with a destiny greater than any ordinary werewolf. According to a prophecy, he would unlock his true potential when he found his destined mate and received his mate mark. But with the kingdom under threat from dangerous beasts and Lycans, everyone is desperate for him to fulfil his destiny before it is too late. Darian, however, refuses to be rushed into finding a mate he has never met. Meanwhile, Elysia lives unaware of the truth about herself. The green mark on her neck makes her appear to be a Monobreed, concealing her true identity as a Polybreed. She also possesses a mysterious gemstone connected to Darian’s missing Supreme Essence, though she

I whispered to the creature again. This time— it answered differently. “I was the first thing the divided moon touched.” The chamber went still. The divided moon. Again. The creature stepped closer. “And your bloodline was created to imprison what remained of me.” My breathing became uneven. Created. Not born. No . (Flashback) A black sky splitting open. A silver moon cracking apart violently. Darkness falling from it like liquid shadow. Ancient wolves screaming. Then women marked with silver symbols standing in a circle.

I had thought everyone was just exhausted from the week-long political summits. “They knew,” I breathed, a horrific sob choking me. “They all fucking knew.” “Of course they did,” Selene purred, reaching into the folds of her dress. Moonlight caught the wicked, gleaming edge of a silver dagger. “An Alpha doesn’t change the hierarchy without preparing his court. You were a magnificent stepping stone, Katniss. Truly. But it’s time for the real Luna to take her seat.”
