Laying back down, I looked at my phone; it was almost time for me to get up anyway.

“What should I do?” “We don’t know for sure.” It was as if the whole world was crushed to her shoulder. She had thought they’re aware of some ways or strategies to bring her back to her body. Her helplessness might have shown to her face because the doctor patted her by the head. “But I have a theory, dear. We can try it out if you like?” She nodded, unable to find her voice. “Well then, Hera, kindly demonstrate what you’ve done to steal Trina’s body, and hopefully, it will work.”

Colin wasn't usually like this. It wasn't until she saw the morning newspaper that she understood why Ralph was so angry. I sneered coldly and signaled to Joel. He immediately showed a set of photos on the tablet. On the left was Jennifer in her college days. She was standing in front of the library in a white dress, smiling brightly like sunlight itself. On the right was Helen in a white lab coat. Her expression and features were almost identical to Jennifer's. Their eyes were especially similar as they looked pure and yet faintly melancholic.

She quickly told us to finish up, locked the restaurant, and left. After the New Year, we did not hear anything from Jennifer about reopening the restaurant. We found out online and through the police that Kaden had killed Jennifer. Jennifer was found dead on the cold street, and Hailey was missing. “I thought Kaden was an honest guy.
