Heavy. Wrong. I pushed the door open slowly, stepping out. And then I saw it.A massive hole in the ground. Deep. Wide. Deliberate. Alice stepped out beside me, brushing dust off her clothes. “Well…” she said slowly. I stared ahead, my jaw tightening. “They’re expecting us today,” I muttered. Alice sighed dramatically.“Great,” she said. Then she looked at me, a small grin forming despite everything.“Looks like we’re going to be late.”

Alice complained while pedaling. "Excuse me, I'm not heavy, and stop calling me 'Miss.' Just call me by my name, okay?" I told her. "Okay, Krystal! We're almost there." She parked the bike, and I got off. There was a tall fence in front of us. What was I thinking when I decided to come along with this girl? "How are we going to climb over that wall, Alice?" I asked the girl. "Why do you need to climb when you can just go through?" she said, revealing a hidden hole amidst the thick bushes. Very clever.

Abigail's POV I take another bite of my apple, staring off into the forest that's in the back of the school, I watch as the bush moves again and wonder if a rabbit's stuck or maybe a squirl. I place my sandwich down and walk in the direction. I hear Ava's voice yell out, "Abi what are you doing, come play." I ignore her shouts and slowly walk towards the bush. I lean over to see what's inside, "come on I'll help you if your stuck," I whisper as my hand moves some of the brush. A large rabbit jumps out at me and I fall backwards, my head hits the ground and darkness surrounds my vision. I hear shouts and foot falls racing in my direction, but the darkness takes me away.
