The computer on the desk on the opposite side of the room seemed very similar to the one Tres had at school.
Tres walked back in lugging a deflated air mattress and electric pump. “Here, plug it in,” the boy handed him the pump. “I figured here should be good,” said Tres, plopping the mattress down in front of the television. “That way we can play some Halo or something and lay back.”
James shrugged. “Sounds good.”
He changed into some shorts and brushed his teeth. Before long, the only sounds that filled the room were simulated explosions and gunshots, the clicking of controllers, and the background soundtrack to the newest first-person shooter.
