June I held the plastic bottle in my hand as Nurse Caroline examined the contents. She didn’t even try to hide the horror in her eyes. “Well, it’s confirmed.” She sat across from us, voice clipped. “These drugs have been damaging your retina—slowly. And the second one is paralyzing your leg nerves.” My heart slammed against my ribs. “Is there a cure?” I muttered. “Can I get my sight and legs back?” “Luckily, yes.” Caroline slid two new prescription bottles toward me. “But you need consistency. And these—” she tapped the bottle I brought “—shouldn’t exist. They aren’t on the market yet.”

I walked around the hall, admiring the decor and took a stand close to the shadows, trying to hide my presence from everyone. Snide comments and remarks had already begun floating into my ear, and I resisted the urge to just run away. As I stood in the pack of werewolves, my nose began picking up a delicious scent of cinnamon and sandalwood. I gasped as a shiver ran through me and followed the alluring scent leading me outside the hall and towards the garden. I was so caught up in the mesmerizing scent that I didn't notice a sturdy door in my direction “Ouch!” I winced and massaged my forehead immediately.

He led me to his car before we took off. "Our company has been messaging excellent doctors and scientists from around the globe to help us find the cure for this disease." He said.

Jenny crumpled to the floor, the shock too much. Her quivering finger stabbed toward Zoe. "You vile witch! Guilty as sin!" Zoe flinched, guilt shadowing her eyes. Jenny surged up, fury unleashed, and cracked a slap across Zoe's cheek. "You knew you were diseased. Why drag Isiah down? You deserve to rot in hell!"
