The Rise of a Forsaken Luna
Through the branches, I saw the duplicate of Dahlia, her fingers glowing with a sickly violet fire as she raised her hand to strike Nicola down.
Nicola was backed against a tree, pale and trembling, but still fiercely clutching the case of vials to his chest.
“But I can stop you, Dahlia.” I let out loud enough for her to hear me so I could shift her focus from Nicola to me and save him from her attack. “So pick on someone your own size.”
Dahlia’s hand froze midair, the violet fire flickering as her head snapped in my direction. The sheer shock on her face was priceless. Clearly, she hadn't expected me to choose the vials over my daughter.
