However, I have decided to pause book 8 and go back in order to do it justice, not only for the series and myself but, more importantly, for you, the readers. I am going to share something a little personal about myself - I am a perfectionist as well as AuDHD, and because this story and overall series has grown since I first started into having so many characters and plot points that intertwine, it proved extremely difficult to keep track of and keep it straight, which is why I made this decision to go back to the beginning and write it in order. Military dogs barked as they trailed around the forest, led by the palace guards. It had been five hours, and almost everyone was tired. The deputy military general asked his general that it would be better if they let the dogs rest. Because of the pressure they had been given by Alpha Cameroon, the dogs were taken back to the van for a rest while the guards continued with the search.

The guard flew to the wall. "Get out of here. I don't think I can gold him much longer!!!!" Damian screamed from the corner of the room. He had held the wolf dog to the ground and was punching it. Mr Jones Vones was strong. He was trying to break free but Damian had held him down. He grunted as he tried to press down on the dog with all his weight. Dan nodded as he saw that. He sifted forms to his werewolf and carried Rafe on his back again. He looked to his brother one last time as he saluted him and ran out the door. There was no time to cry or say anything emotional.

Dagon slams my head against the stump, forcing me to look at the tree line. I can't help laughing so hard it hurts deep in my gut. "You're so fucked. I might die, but you aren't far behind." I smile, seeing Phoenix on the back of a giant red wolf that rivals the size of Osric’s animal. They aren't alone either, there is a line of at least 50 lycans, wolves, and humans charging towards us. "They're too late," Dagon chuckles, relishing in the moment as he raises his sword slowly.

The soreness between my legs was an indicator of last night’s activities. I knocked before entering. Machine was laying on the couch near Kade’s desk. Before I could register what was coming at me I was tackled by a Rottweiler with kisses. I caught myself before I could fall to the ground. Whines of happiness came from the dog as I tried to regain my composer. I liked dogs, but was not expecting one to mail me with love this early in the morning. “Lucy! Get off of her now!” Kade commanded. Listening, Lucy cowardly scooted back before laying down next to the couch that Machine was on. Kade rushed over to inspect me.

A Dog’s Tale I remember being born, that may seem a strange concept to humans but it isn’t really for Dogs. I remember being snuggled and warm then suddenly being pushed out into a very bright light. It wasn’t pleasant, and I was afraid but then a warm wet tongue began to clean me and a soft voice spoke welcoming me to this strange bright world and pushing me to a teat full of her delicious milk. Everything was blurry and muffled but I felt safe listening to the steady beat of my Mother’s heart through her soft flank. Those first few days were strange, I did very little except eat and sleep but I was aware of ‘something.’ I did not know what it was but I knew it was waiting for me.

“So that way.” 16B was a much larger section than I expected. Still, it made sense since wolves were always passing down stories to the younger generations, true or not. “Found it,” I said. It took forty-five minutes but I found a book on the Moon Blessed that was not a kid's bedtime story. “When the Goddess becomes a man,” I read out the title. From the cover, I could tell it was still a fiction story for the most part. But it was better than nothing at all.

I would like to thank all of you who stuck with me through this series of books, and even those of you who have only read this book (or just two of the three). It has taken me a year to work through all three books, but I was determined to do my best to end the series on a sweet note.
