Author's POV Aria lifted her head, listening carefully. It was coming from the car parked a few feet away from her. As she slowly approached the car, her eyes scanned the area but couldn’t find anything. A small whisper reached her ear as she turned slowly, bending down. She looked under the car. Her breath got caught in her throat as she saw there, curled up in the shadow of the car, a small dog. It was around two or three months old. His body was covered in dirt. His body had an injury, a limp leg, and those innocent eyes were filled with fear.
