“Get off that bed or we will leave you in 5 minutes!” So, I found myself inside the car in my pajamas. I think my father’s car is too small for the four of us, plus our one year old golden retriever. They pack a lot of things for this summer outing, poor car he must carry us all with a lot of luggage. My sister who is six years old was busy talking to her Barbie dolls. My father who is usually the happiest of all is singing Barney’s song. “Dad! Can you just play a song?” and he sings even louder, while my mother accompanies him with a dance. I plug my ear phone and pretend not to hear them.

He lays them down and covers them up, before he grabs their favorite book off of the bookshelf across the room. They have a reading chair beside it that he sits in. He reads them Franklin In The Dark, which they love. Both boys have it memorized but the still want to hear it every night. Dani stands inside the door to listen. When the book is over, they both kiss the boys and leave the room.

Instantly, Drake reads the words in the paper mutedly and Kate could follow through manner his eyes lens scans through the information, immediately scanning through the second lines of the message, his expression changed in a blink, and he angrily squeezes the paper with his stamina the veins that activated on his palm tell how furious he was and he flung the paper away. Kate was furious that she immediately dash to the paper but unfolding the paper, it was ruined severely because of the pressure applied when squeezing the paper and Kate could barely understand what was written rather she only saw the boldly written word (Murder). Drake was not ready to have a conversation, because is tense

Callum’s POV “Come on, man. You’ve been moping around for weeks.” I looked up from my textbook to find Drake standing in my doorway with his arms crossed. Behind him, I could see Toby loitering in the hallway, tapping away at his phone. They were both dressed to go out. “I’m not moping,” I said, forcefully flipping to the next page in the book I was reading. “Yeah. You’re brooding.” Drake walked into my room and snatched the book out of my hands. “The semester’s almost over. You need to get out and have some fun before we all go home for the holidays.”

Drake was tall and the moment he was able to walk again, he also started training again to develop his muscles the way they are now. “I think this is your mom’s secret haven,” I said. “Wait, my mom’s what?” he asked confused. “These are your mom’s journals,” I said as I pointed to the shelves, “I haven’t had the time to read all of them.” I walked over to the table where the journal where she thinks that I was a mage. Drake took it and read it. After he finished reading he looked at me, his eyes filled with excitement. “Maybe there are answers here,” he exclaimed and I smiled back at him.

So far so good. But the real nightmare started ,when it was almost night .I was reading a book and I heard Drake closing his laptop and I suddenly felt a chill in my spine .I heard his foot steps coming towards the hallway .I uncomfortably shifted from my position and stiffed . I decided to continue doing my own work and not be bothered by anything . Then his unconditional request came . Drake pov: I stretched trying to relax my sore muscles .I checked the time it was almost 6 in the evening .I closed my laptop an went to search for Emliy .she was in the hall watching a movie while eating popcorn .

I add. The three of us sit there in silence for a while. I am not sure why they are here. I notice that Drake has a book with him. My eyes widen when I recognise it as one of their father’s yearbooks from high school. I jump up and run over to the side of my office, where there is a vast bookshelf. I like to read, but Salaria is an avid reader, and this was mainly put here for her. I start looking through the books until I find the one I am looking for. I pull it out and lay it down on the desk. “Sorry, I didn’t know that dad’s old high school yearbook would make you so crazy.” Drake comments.

“They need to know. You know it wouldn’t be fair to them as we stay young as they get older. I don’t know about you, but I want my mate around as long as I am around.” “And just how long is that? My love?” Brianna asks. “Our life span differs from yours. As will any children we have. The oldest Drakkon ever recorder was well over a thousand years old.” I answered. I heard gasps come from the females and groans from my mated brothers. Alana turned to my brother Gabe. “And you were never going to tell me this? Did you ever plan to mark me?” “And me?” added Kellie to Mich.

So much has happened in a short period of time. “I can get her for you, Maddie; if you would like to speak with her,” Drake says standing up. Shaking my head, I realize it’s getting late. “I think I am just getting tired,” I say to him picking at the blanket covering me. Nodding his head, “You have had a lot of excitement your first day waking up,” he replies.

He held up a bag of muffins. I couldn’t help but smile in return. “That’s very kind of you.” Drake merely shrugged and reached into the bag, breaking off a piece of a muffin and popping it into his mouth. “I’m really just being selfish because I wanted something sweet for breakfast. Want some?” I shook my head and held my hand up to stop him. “Thank you,” I said, “but I’m alright.” Peering past me, Drake nodded his head toward the children, who were now busy making paper turkeys using the outlines of their hands for the bodies. “You seem to be good with kids. Not that I’m surprised, after how you treated Adam at the acceptance ceremony.”
