Seems the people of Drakkon don’t read very much or maybe they just don’t have the time for it. Once settled on the desk, I began to scan through the titles which seem very appropriate to me. A history of Drakkon and The Civil Rights And Laws Of Drakkon. While reading through them, it made me wonder how this books and laws were made available to the human village and even more, if I was technically even allowed to be reading through them. Shrugging the thought off, I continued to read. The rest of the day passed in a blur as I spent it studying. When Henry came calling my attention again, it was already dusk.

Maybe they'll finally accept me. Mae stared at me with admiration in her eyes and ruffled my hair. “Your imagination is wild.” she chuckled. “You made me read all those big books in the library. I read somewhere that the sun can grant you powers.” I quipped. Mae tipped her head back and laughed. “Oh, dear Eloise! Just what books have you been reading.” My brows knit in confusion at her amused expression. Mae always insisted on reading every book I saw. She says the most power was hidden in books, that you can discover anything if you read hard enough. When we weren't training, she made us spend all our time in the library.

I change into a pair of leather pants and a bra strapping my sword to my waist. While I'm changing, Flavius wanders around the room, lightly brushing his fingers across the many bookshelves I have carved out of the mountain wall. "When I thought of your room, I never thought of so many books. I thought it would be full of weapons and armor," he says jokingly. "I love to read, honestly," I respond. "I’m surprised, though; you even have books written in other languages," he remarks. "There is a lot of great literature that came from the elves and the fae. As a dragon, I am fluent in all languages. I only have to hear the language once, and I can speak it," I tell him nonchalantly.

Drake didn't read the foreign text, but the fancy package said it all. "What does Miss Bernard like about you?" he muttered. "You should ditch this and be a gigolo. You'd make bank." He finished the entire bar in a minute. Robert frowned. "Too many sweets give you cavities." "Never heard of it." Drake shrugged. He had never had a cavity. He only knew if Cathryn sent Marion chocolates daily, he'd be set. Marion lay down on his bed and started reading. Lights went out, and all went quiet. He dreamt of the car crash again. Drake clenched his fists into a ball as he continued to stare at Anders and spoke through clenched teeth, "Let me see it!" Anders rolled his eyes and looked at Drake as if he had two heads before saying, "Chill out, let's go sit in the kitchen with Stacey." Drake begrudgingly followed him into the kitchen and sat down, crossing him arms and glaring at both of them. That book said men don't have to change nappies either.”
