She turned the yellowed pages, running her finger over the black embossed words. "I'll take history," Casper announced grabbing the first book his hands landed on. He rested it against his chest, pacing the room as he flicked through the pages, sighing at every page turn. Gage opted for the Lycan section. Lena war and battles and Serena diaries of the royals. I went to the section on leadership and Alphas. Hours passed. The pile of discarded books in the middle of the room grew bigger and bigger as the books yet to read dwindled. Blake still tapped furiously at the laptop he rested on a small reading table. Lena joined Casper in sighing after each page turn.

Pearl yells at the closed door and Gwen giggles. Slowly the other women file in. I load up a bowl of potato soup that Julie brought. She even fried up some bacon to sprinkle on top and I think I've died and gone to Heaven. We're on the downward swing of it now, the main conflict resolved with only the aftermath of the battle left to go through. It's a more emotional part of the story and I'm surprised Pearl even read it.
