AVA'S POV “For a queen you are, you're getting a bit too comfortable with these humans,” Rowan whispered, his breath tickling my skin and his voice husky and laced with a hint of warning. My gaze narrowed, eyes flashing red with a hint of danger as I took in his words. “And what makes you think so, my love?” I purred, my voice dripping with sweetness as my fingers trailed his bare chest down below to his hard member. Of course we were lying naked in all our glory, skin flawless yet had a pale color to it, and this was absolutely normal being vampires.

I felt like I had caught him, he must have slacked in his cooked stories. "You said you want to take it back without shedding blood. That's why we are using the Kiss Of Vengeance. “Fuck… okay. Seal it.” Vesper’s gave a triumphant grin. In one swift, powerful motion, he lifted Elias off the floor and slammed him down onto the bed, ripping his shirt open with sharp claws. I carefully slide my hand on her cheek and then pull her to me, smashing my lips to hers in a dominant kiss. I then wrap my other arm around her so that I can lead her backward, making her hit her back against the bookshelves behind her. She lets out a small gasp from the impact. I then feel my fangs lengthen. I break the kiss and smile as I lower my head and sink my fangs into her neck and drink. She screams at the slight pain but then moans.

I felt her hands reach up to clutch at my shirt, anchoring herself to me as the world tilted. I poured everything into that kiss; my hunger, my frustration, and the terrifying affection I was starting to feel. But there was a purpose beyond my own greed.
