The river had swollen into the fields, and treetops broke the surface of the water which swirled restlessly around hidden obstacles, so it wasn’t lying, but Lyric doubted that the sign maker had a flood in mind.
“You said that before. I don’t understand,” she indicated to turn off. That road would lead to one of the river crossings, and she suspected that it would be impassable due to flooding.
