The siphon will hold.” I turned, smirking. “And the girl?” “She’s breaking,” my Rael murmured beside me, watching the flickering vision of Lucia through the shadow mirror. “Her wolf resists you, but not for long.” I smiled, slow and cruel. “Let her fight. When she finally gives in, she’ll beg for me to end him.” Rael bowed his head. “It could kill her.” “Death,” I murmured, smiling widely “is a small price for rebirth.”

Quinn gasps, staring at the matte-black urn in Luna's assistant's arms. "Take it back to the estate," Luna orders calmly. Her assistant nods and leaves. "Let's get in the car before the paparazzi find us." The time for secrets is over. As the limousine glides onto the highway, Luna calmly explains the true purpose behind her marriage to Nathan and the fabricated miscarriage. By the time she finishes, her parents' faces are ghostly pale. They are not angry. They are terrified. They have no idea their sweet daughter has carried such lethal hatred for five years. She has weaponized her body, her youth, and her marriage vows for revenge.

Immediately, Luna Viola stood up and glared at me. "You wretched gold digger! You think you can reap where you did not sow, huh? "What difference is there between you and rogues when you're prepared to attack your Luna just because she charged at you?" Adrain asked sarcastically.

She faced Selena, and in one swift movement, she thrust her hand out and made a motion that blasted Selena backward, against the stairs with a thud. Everything that happened next happened all at once. The Luna ripped the knife out of her back with another shriek. Blood spurted everywhere and she fell to the ground. At the top of the stairs, Lori and Jessica fell, no longer suspended by the Luna’s magic. All around me, my friends started to move again. The rogues writhed in pain, in unison with the Luna as she died in agony at the base of the stairs. I leaped to my feet.

“Bastards like you shouldn’t have crossed the line. You should have stayed hidden and become nonexistent.” Levin attacked. With a quick step, he unleashed his right fist. Henry managed to dodge by jumping back a few steps. He started to counter. BAM! Henry’s fist caught Levin right in the stomach. The man reeled pitifully. “Damn you! How dare you...!” Levin stood up. The atmosphere immediately became tense. The audience fell silent at Henry’s attack. Levin turned into a wolf, ready to attack with full force. With a single step, his body darted quickly, his fist preparing to deliver a lethal blow.

“But I want to try. That’s why I’m here, Gwen. I’m listening now.” She let out a long breath, her fingers tracing the rim of the glass in front of her. “It’s hard for me to even explain, Lucian. But I’ve had these... these visions. The Moon Goddess... She's given me a second chance, but it comes with a price. I have three months, three months to reclaim what was mine, to get my revenge.” “Revenge on who?” I asked, my voice careful. She shook her head. “On those who betrayed me. It’s all connected to you and Arlene, somehow. This second life I’ve been given... I don’t even know if I want it. But I was sent back with a purpose, and I can’t just ignore that.”

Mila stumbled back to the cottage, her heart torn with pain as she curled up on the floor crying loudly, unable to comprehend why her life had taken a sad turn overnight. She cried all night at the false accusations of her dad and Arnold's betrayal. The words of Arnold's rejection kept echoing in her ears.
