“I may have… and by ‘may,’ I mean I definitely killed your Alpha,” I said, forcing the words out before cowardice could silence them.
Her breath caught. Her face froze, shock, then grief, then something fiercer.
“But not by choice,” I continued quickly, “Xareth bound me to him with a cursed, thorned chain. He controls me through it, like a puppet dangling from his fingers.”
Siora stepped forward. “He also made me a puppet. He twists your will until you can’t even recognize your own reflection.”
