He pulled out her chair like a gentleman, helping her sit before taking his place opposite her. They spent the first half of the day exploring the hill path above the lake. As Gab brought the horse closer to her, it started to roll its eyes and stomp its front hooves. Gab frowned and looked at the horse and then started to soothe it by stroking its nose and neck. It didn't seem to want to calm down and this was just what Elena had been afraid would happen. Her condition would spook the horses. She so wanted to be able to enjoy today, and ride the horse into the mountains. She felt a tingle in the back of her head start and she kept saying in her mind, 'It's okay Jack, I'll be nice to you.
