Again.” He said leaning against the desk, his eyes distant. “He accused me, years back, of leaking Blackvale secrets for cash. Evidence was presented — emails, bank transfers — all forged, but quite convincing. I didn’t do it, Isabella. I’d never betray my family. But he took the lie as truth and disowned me as a Blackvale making certain every chain of evidence I was ever his son was abolished. So here I am being the new Elijah Black.”
