KYLIE’s POV

He looked at me with an unreadable expression, and I waited for him to contradict me, or to simply say something. Anything.

“Kylie, you can’t continue like this.” Henry finally said and I drew my brows together.

“What do you mean by that?” I asked a bite in my voice. He sighed and leaned backward in his chair.

“This is the second time you’re seeing things. You’re worked up, it’s been an annoying evening, and you’ve been thoroughly pushed. And now… now you may be seeing shadows and figures. But shadows and figures don’t necessarily add up to the marks on the manager.”

“Oh really?” I said incredulously. He was simply going to dismiss what I was saying and act like they weren’t there.

“Yes. And if we are being honest here, I think it’s safe to say that I’m beginning to worry about you. “
