The shopkeeper wrapped their purchases with care, and soon they were back on the street, arms laden with greenery. “Let’s hit the bookstore next,” Lilly suggested. “I want to find something for Link.” The bookstore was cozy, filled with dark wood shelves, vintage rugs, and the rich scent of old paper. They lost themselves among the aisles, pulling books at random. “Oh! A spicy romance novel,” Marcy said, waving a bright cover at Lilly. “This looks like your speed.”

“Bookstores. I saw that there are 4 around here. I want to go to all of them.” Vlad seems to be caught off guard. “Wow, do they still exist? We're in the digital age. Isn't it easier to buy a Kindle?”, Vlad looks at me as if I were outdated, and what if I am? “I can guarantee you that a screen won't give off a unique scent of pages with each turn”, I gesture, imitating a page turn. “If it's going to help you in any way, I'll take you.” I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear.

I was SO opening my own bookstore. The girl behind the counter smiled at us when we walked in. It smelled of leather .. books.. and coffee. They had a little coffee shop in the back.. perfection! I stood in the doorway looking and taking it all in. “You okay?” Jenny asked me. “Yes… just getting ideas for my future store..” I said. She laughed. “Can I help you guys find anything?” The girl behind the counter said. But we told her we just wanted to look. Aside from books that had tons of knick knacks and gifts.. candles and some toys .. and all sorts of cool gadgets.

JACK'S POV: "Oh my! Your bookstore is so huge and spacious. There's even a second floor for English Novels. Then there's the price–oww, holy sh*t! What kind of trick is this? Too cheap? Are there any wolf stories in your bookstore?" My eyes widened at this man's talkativeness. I wish I hadn't taken him to the bookstore. Instead of being able to do it properly and without mistakes, no! Because of Froyd, everything I do will be ruined. Why is he so talkative? Why doesn't he just go and look for what he wants?

Susy asked, suddenly animated, jumping up from the couch before taking the booklet from Jenny. “I came across it today at the antiquarian bookstore near the shop,” Jenny said enthusiastically. “Will you lend it to me once you’ve read it?” Susy asked. “You can take it today,” Jenny smiled. “I’m reading something else right now, so go ahead and take it. Just return it when you’re done.” “Thank you so much!” Susy said excitedly, and the girls hugged. Susy sat back down on the couch, Jenny grabbed a few crackers, and then she looked at the guys.

“There’s a bookstore that stays open late.” Emma turned toward him. “Now?” James shrugged. “Just briefly. I want to walk.” Emma nodded. “All right.” They parked along a quieter stretch of road. James lifted Ethan carefully, letting the small head rest against his shoulder. Inside the bookstore, the scent of paper and old wood greeted them. Soft white lights made the shelves feel like corridors of time. Emma wandered toward the section of notebooks and journals, her fingers brushing spines until she paused at one with a simple cover.

The Tangible Anchor: The uncut gemstone in the glass case across the room was a reminder that the real value of their work was in the stories themselves not in what others thought. It felt… overlooked. Hidden. Like it existed just out of the main current of the street. Maybe that was why it pulled at her. Raegan hesitated only a second before reaching for the door.
