He’s got this puzzled look on his face that ends when his eyebrows fold inward.
Piper relaxes onto her heels, then turns to face the guy, her arms planted around my waist. “Bryce. This is my boyfriend, Ethan. Ethan. I work with Bryce.”
“What’s up,” I reply.
“Yeah. Ethan McKay,” he says. “I know who you are.”
His eyes zone in on Piper, but I answer. “A lot of people do.”
Did this prick just fucking scoff?
“Anyway,” Piper continues, oblivious to the fact that this asshole has a thing for her. It’s so obvious. “We’ve got dinner plans. So, I’m out of here unless you need something else before I go.”
