‘WHAT A JOB!’ Karen exclaimed from her perch on the library steps. ‘I shouldn’t think anyone’s been up here for a decade.’ Hot, dusty, she had already spent three days at it but so far had only scratched the surface of the monumental task of correlating the vast amount of undocumented material.

He heard small sniffles coming from her. She was crying. And it did something to him that he didn't like. "Look at me when I'm talking to you." She wiped her eyes and looked at him. He saw the faintest hand print on her face that was fading. That bastard! Kai grit his teeth. He should have ordered his immediate execution. "Do you need me to clean?" Karen asked, her voice shaky. "No." Kai said. He walked over to a shelf and took out a book. He tossed the book to Karen. She caught it and stared at it. "Sit there and read the book out loud."

They both started organizing the shelves, Karen picked the books and pasted them over to the maid who kept them in place. Karen was down to the last book, it caught her attention as she picked up the book from the floor. "Do you mind if I read this?" She asked. "Sure" she replied before thanking her and walking out. Karen returned her attention to the book, she opened the first page and a piece of paper dropped from the book. As she unfolded it, the sheet of paper opened further, forming a broadsheet. She read through. A name was written on it ‘Chel’ in Italian curves.

JASON "I'm calling off the engagement.." Karen's words echoed as I stared hard at the blank phone screen. I couldn't have heard her correctly, I heard wrong. Right? I'd only be deluding myself if I actually believed that bullshit. "What the fuck?!" I roared suddenly, sending books and files flying in the air, my breaths coming out in short pants. "What has gotten into this woman?" I wonder out loud. Why can't she be the fucking submissive her parents painted her to be.

What she would give now for a little bit of that excitement in her life. Kara didn't hate her life. She didn't love it either, though. It was just so...boring. Everyday she would wake up to a snoring Ralf. Then she would prepare her children's meals, and then Ralf's breakfast. She would iron his underewear and his clothes. After everyone has left the house, she would turn on the TV and mindlessly watch a homecooking show.

“Wait here, I’m going to give you something that will help you relax.” Before I could make a protest, she was gone out of my sight. Girl number eleven was now too close to Ace, as if she wanted to sit on her lap. She kept nudging for his biceps, rubbing her arms against Ace’s from time to time. Ace seemed to be oblivious of the lustful stares he was getting from the girls flocking around him. “Got it” Karen came back catching he breathe with three books in her hands. “Here.” “What am I going to do with these?” grabbing the offered books to me, the book on top was entitled ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’
