It always brought me a brief respite amid all kinds of tension. Despite the years of solitary living, I can still feel the deep longing for a family. I still couldn’t remember my past after the accident, but I still wanted to meet them and ask why they never tried to find me or why they did not try to find out if I was still alive. I decline to believe that they abandon me. The family picture served as my only lead to find them, but it has been years, and I still haven’t gotten a lead on who they are and their whereabouts.

"It's me, my dear. We never gave up hope of finding you, and now, by a twist of fate, we're reunited." Kazia's brother, too, stepped closer, his expression a mix of joy and disbelief. "I never thought I'd see the day when we'd find you. It's a miracle." Overwhelmed by the moment, Kazia embraced her father and brother tightly, feeling their warmth and the reality of their presence. The pack members around them cheered, celebrating the reunion of a family that had been torn apart for far too long.

Since the men hadn't found any leads about the kidnapping and weren't able to get anything out of the man who they had found in that house with me, the trail had gone cold for now. During our discussions of family, I had a moment of peace wash over me when I realized that even though I lost my parents and have mystery parents out there in the universe somewhere, I still found the most amazing little family. Zoey, Willa, Roman, Benny, Slate, Dolos, Eris, and even Andrei have all become my family. I also used that moment to have a little more fun than our strict get-shit-done day had planned, and I started a group text.

"I found out that Geneva Walter and Brianne Walter of the Walters family in DC were at the orphanage today, around the same time as your wife." "What?! Are you certain?" Jose was my PA but he also knows his ways concerning digging out information on anyone in the country I want. Unfortunately, we've still not been successful at finding Lucas... A part of my subconscious reminded me. I shook off the thought. I will find him one day. I can't ever give up on him, he might even not be in the country right now. But I'm not giving up, I'd definitely find him wherever he is. He's the reason I had gotten myself back in that family again. So of course, my efforts would certainly never become wasted.

“Please. Just do it. If there’s anyone else out there—if anyone knows about me—I need to find them.” “All right,” he said reluctantly. “Give me a second.” I waited, the silence between us stretching endlessly. My heart raced, my fingers tapping nervously against the edge of the laptop as I stared at the photo, the names, the headlines. Finally, his voice returned. “Bella, are you sitting down?” I let out a short, bitter laugh. “Sitting down? I’m already trying not to pass out. Just tell me.” “I found something,” he said carefully. “It looks like your family wasn’t as small as you thought. Your grandparents… aunts… even a few cousins. They’re alive.”

I asked again, my voice barely a whisper. She nodded. “Of course. That’s exactly why it was created. The repository helps families reconnect. You know how we wolves are, passionate, impulsive. There are many cubs out there who grow up never knowing they have a brother, or sister… or even parents.” I swallowed the lump in my throat. “I want to find someone… Can I? Through my DNA?” My voice cracked. “Can I find my relative this way?” I didn’t even try to hide the desperation in my tone. I needed to know who he was.

She looked at me standing beside her, and she smiled, and it was the most genuine expression I had seen on her face since I met her. “Several years ago, our family lost our youngest daughter during a pack conflict,” she said to the room. “We have been looking for her since before I was old enough to understand what looking meant.” She paused, and her voice stayed even, which honestly impressed me because mine would have been gone completely by now. “Tonight, we found her.” She turned fully toward me. “Eva is our daughter and our sister. The DNA is confirmed, the evidence is documented, and she is ours, and we are bringing her home.” The room erupted with joy and celebration.

I asked. "We have found your friend's family but your mom, we haven't found her yet" I sighed. It's good news that Alaila's family has been found and sad news that my mom is still missing. "That's good news" I muttered and Alaila held my hand. "They will find your mother soon" she assured me and I smiled wearily. "Where did you find them? I mean Alaila's family" "At a new territory. I guess those that survived that day, ran away and build up a new territory" Jason answered.

"Have this and get lost." The figure looked into it, his eyes widening, leaving me wondering what was going on. "What are you doing? We can’t lose her." "Her mother is with us. We were able to find her." It felt like I didn’t hear him correctly. They found Emily’s mother? Where? How did he get to find me here? I never shared anyone the location. The figure hurried back into the building. The next few minutes felt like an eternity, but then he returned, standing with her biological father.

We are creatures of habit and it’s far too easy to habitually do something that gets you found. We all rely on money, phones, communication, friends, family, old locations we are associated with, all of these things that help people to find us. So, that’s what I’m looking for. Contact with her family in any way, or money she got or used, then places where she might have made large purchases like property or a car. So, I’m hoping that between Killian and I, we’ll eventually find something.
