One is the way friends usually look at each other. Harmony and Ross are an example. Tho, they are obviously lovers or that have a crush on each other and wouldn't tell. Either way, they are friends and there always this light in thier eyes when they see someone. A flair up in their nose, nice posture. It was like meeting your prince charming after a thousand year old of waiting. It was a perfect feeling obviously that comes with a strange kind of connection. I felt 0 of that with this two infact the enemy off them is either toxic or demonic.

“Yes, my dear. — The wife patted his hand. - Go ahead. “Love is great, but you have to… yeah… stand there, steady, and work things out, even when you're angry. You need to be good friends, not just lovers. Hmm. When I fell in love with men, I saw them as potential lovers, peers, but we were never really friends. I also had male friends, but I never had sexual relationship with any of them. And I wasn't going to tell Dhiraj, because he didn't really exist.

Until finally, he stretched his arms, and looked directly into the strange man's eyes. "Well let me tell you something! You see Sasha here is actually my mate. So, there's no way I'll let you take her from me! " My best friend, Adam declared, his eyes turning a bright orange. And the whole world stopped spinning for a moment as those words lingered in the air. To which I felt my heart fluttering in the wind. Mate! He's finally accepted me as being his mate! But he's still married to that woman. So, how will he marry me then? I wondered as my mind started going haywire with all the possibilities.

Ingrid said or more like purred. The words were so nonchalant, like this was all just routine, a normal, accepted part of their lives. The perfect little couple in their small bubble. And I the little mate they sleep with to break curse. A sick feeling settled in my stomach, twisting tighter and tighter until I thought I’d be sick right here in the hallway. This conversation just tells me everything. They weren’t sisters they were his… they were their… I couldn’t even find the words to finish that thought. They were their lovers. LOVERS!

“That was a mistake.” “No, that was betrayal.” I narrowed my gaze. “Real friends don’t stab each other in the back and lovers don’t rob each other blind. Only strangers do.”

I said. “Well then, we better make the most of it,” He smiled, kissing me, “I think it will be good for us to get away,” He added. I couldn’t agree more. Lauren was still trying to get to us sometimes, even after we found out about her affair. She was spreading crap about me and trying to get sympathy for people. It didn’t work, though, because most people knew the truth, but her friends joined in the fun. I was not letting them get to me, though. It was all a little high school for my liking.

"You are my friend, Xavier. I'll always have your back." A friend? Did she consider him a friend? No one had ever said that to him and meant it. True, Xavier had many alliances, pack he was honored to fight with, but he never called them friends. At first he wanted to say that it was not friendship he wanted from her, but then Xavier paused for a moment, remembering what she had said in the past some time ago. "Love is unconditional acceptance. It is when you want to be close to another person, both sexually and platonically, both as friends and as lovers."

I glanced at him, his forehead furrowed. He turned to Theron. “She’s not a virgin anymore…” A ghost of a smile formed on Theron’s lips. Thander took a deep breath. “Fuck !! You took her already!” “Why did you do that, Theron? I thought we had an agreement about this ?!” Wait… What agreement is Thander saying ?! Theron and I met eye to eye. Theron shrugged. “Don’t blame me, she’s irresistible.” * I yawned and stretched out on the bed. I don’t know why it seems to be crowded here. As far as I remember, the bed was big, enough for three people.

I haven’t been attracted to anyone else ever since. I would love nothing more than to be able to openly embrace her and carelessly love her in front of any one and every one but life just isn’t always that easy. We risk so much with this bond. A vampire and werewolf bond is just unthinkable and both of our families would no doubt kill us.
