Daddy's Enemy is My Mate
As we dug into our breads and pastries, we heard a cart approach us.
"Fresh fruit and vegetables!" the driver cried, his voice echoing across the port. "Fruits and vegetables, ripe for the picking!"
Mia looked at me, her eyes shining with excitement. "Let's see what he's got!"
We walked over to the cart, where the driver was unloading his goods. Mia picked up a handful of apples, shaking them in her hand before putting them back down. "These are too mushy. What else have you got?"
The driver smiled, pulling out a basket of crisp, green tomatoes. "These will be perfect for your salads," he said, holding out the basket for Mia to take.
