She furrowed her eyebrow in apparent anger. “Oh c'mon Raya, don’t get all emotional on me! I'm just trying to help you figure out a way!” Mimi yelled looking at the bump in Raya's stomach with utter disgust like she expected some sort of slimy alien creature to jump out of it. “Yeah, you're right, I'm sorry,” Raya quickly wiped off every trace of tears, feeling disgusted at herself for getting all mushy and emotional. “Whatever,” Mimi rolled her eyes and smacked the gum in her mouth.

A tiny yell jolted them apart. Mimi stomped out of the bathroom, wearing a tiny bathrobe, her messy hair dripping wet. Clearing his throat, Asher faced the other direction, and Violet couldn't conceal her embarrassment either. “Uhm, Mimi, you're done bathing?” She stood up and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around her wet hair. “Now let's get you all dried up.” “No need, Mummy.” Mimi grabbed the towel, frowning in Asher's direction. “Remember I'm now a young lady. I'll do everything by myself.”

Marco felt like rubbing the space between his brows, knowing that he was in for a lot of drama from these two. Well apparently, something had transpired between the both of them and they ended up getting separated as friends.

Imogen said, making Mimi look at her. Imogen gave her a nod. Mimi looked at Evelyn. Evelyn averted her eyes from Mimi and moved back to Imogen. Mimi scowled at Evelyn. She let out a scoff and walked away angrily with her friend following her behind. "Little bitch," Imogen said while staring at Mimi and her friend as they walked away. Evelyn closed her eyes, feeling dizzy. Imogen noticed instantly, furrowing her brows as she held Evelyn's hand.

The lock popped in a few seconds, and Mimi barged out of her cell. Her sudden momentum forward rolled Clarissa onto her back. Mimi ran over and nuzzled her with his massive beak, rubbing the side of his face against her as a cat would mark its owner. She giggled and wrapped her arms around his downy mane. Mimi was soft and warm. But even more incredible, he was real! Happy tears ran down Clarissa’s cheeks as she hung on to her lifelong friend. Something cracked on the other side of the golden mountain. Mimi lifted his head, twitching it back and forth, listening for danger.

“I missed you more than plantain, baby girl. More than jollof on a Sunday.” Mimi craned her neck, spotted Amina unloading bags. “Aunty Mina too! You left me!” Amina crouched, opened her arms.
