Dangerous Power Play

Dangerous Power Play

He fought me for control, bit my bottom lip hard enough to leave a mark, raked his nails down my back, and left me somewhere between worship and exorcism. It wasn’t gentle. It wasn’t sweet. It was raw, unfiltered, and honest—the kind of sex you write a confessional about, except I’m not Catholic and my confessions are between me and my right hand. He made me forget to be captain. He made me forget Tyson. For a few minutes, I got to be a guy who wanted a guy, not some high school stereotype playing varsity hero. By the time I make it to the rink, I’ve mainlined three cups of shitty dorm coffee and popped enough ibuprofen to risk liver failure. The locker room is a humid mess of equipment, Axe

Girls' Best Friend

Girls' Best Friend

I say and rather than laughing at me, like I thought she would, she gets a wide smile and looks up at me with her twinkling green eyes. "Really?" She asks and I nod. "I really am a nerd, just like your friend said." I say and she shrugs. "I'm pretty sure Henry Cavill plays that game and he's Superman so if that's what a nerd is, sign me up." She says with a sly grin that has me chuckling. "You're welcome to join anytime. It would be amusing watching those guys try to adapt to a girl." I say, grinning at the thought. "What? They don't talk to girls?" She asks and I shrug.

I'm the school's badboy but I'm a girl

I'm the school's badboy but I'm a girl

Goodness Shadrachwhen she turns her back
Nathania was so shook from what she just witnessed that she stood by the door, watching him fight and thinking that the boy would be dead before he stops. “Don’t just stand there asshole, help her!” Xavier yelled seeing that the boy was doing nothing and it took him shouting at her for Nathania to know what to do. As she was helping Teresa up, her eyes were clouding with tears as she thought of what could have happen. What if Xavier hadn’t shown up and asked for Teresa, she would have never known that this was happening and even if she does, she doubt that she could have been able to fight off the boy. She may dress like a boy and act like one, but that doesn’t mean that she has their streng

Buried Beneath Sin

Buried Beneath Sin

Power, she realized, wasn’t something other people handed you. It wasn’t in a man’s last name, or his blessing, or his body. It wasn’t in the empire built by men like her father and Mazzo. Power lived inside the smallest, most private space of all—the space between heartbeat and decision. That moment right before she fired—that was where it lived. She rolled onto her back and let the truth settle in like a second skin. Power didn’t scream. It didn’t posture. It was quiet. Certain. Absolute. And it would never leave her again.

The Girl who changed the Game

The Girl who changed the Game

The fact that she'd given the neighbor's puppy cheese and was now, apparently, reconsidering her position was the kind of small domestic shift that felt, at four hundred miles away, enormous. I saved the photo. I sent back a cheese emoji and a heart. The second notification was from Sofía, a voice note, which Sofía preferred over texts when she had more than two sentences to say. I put my earbuds in. "Okay so I have information. Jess from the rowing team, you know Jess, she has the plait, she sits near the window in our biomechanics lecture anyway Jess told me that Petra Voss has been granted a full feature slot in the athletics department's end of season publication. Like a proper long form

Tomboy

Tomboy

"Maybe she has learnt her lesson that it's not good for a woman to behave like a man." Grace nodded, "you are right. Maybe this will make her understand that it's not good to be a tomboy, be it whatever reason she has. But her own case is different, we both know she is not a tomboy and the outside world don't even see her like that." "Yes, they see her as a man because no one knows she is a woman." Grace shook her head with a sigh, "Malcolm will kill me if he finds out." Evelyn chuckled, "you are his beloved sister, he will understand."

The Higher Power

The Higher Power

Shining proudly, the rich audiences were amazed by the work of the creator. A sense of pride hugged everyone to witness such an art and Hattiea was no different from any other guest at this point, who found herself lost looking at the jewel. She admired the ring with her orbs appreciating the fine work in front of her, her lips curved up into a smile as she saw the diamond weirdly controlling her senses. She liked it. She loved it. "Beautiful!" She whispered with her eyes still being enchanted. "Illustrated and described well in your catalogs is the 'The Moon Diva' last, worth 35 million dollars!"

THE BEAST IN ME

THE BEAST IN ME

I asked softly. "Sure love." She answered then dropped her hand. "Are you perhaps the leader of the cheerleaders squad?" I asked. "Of course duh, and so are my two friends beside me." She answered in an annoying voice. They definitely were from mean girls or perhaps bring it on. "Would you like to join us?" She asked. "No," I answered without a second thought. They were planning to humiliate me or something right?. "Too bad, and here I thought you had the strength that most people lacked. Girl, the way you handled that guy was what we call girl power. We love seeing a woman handle herself well." She said softly.

I am very impressed by this book. I love the pure fact this is an entirely different race of supernaturals from the norm. Also, love the fact the characters from this pack are still somewhat primal and that there is so much raw emotion. I can't wait for more chapters, it is definite worth the read

Crown of Tempests

Crown of Tempests

Trying to find a way to control power I was taught to fear and a world that hadn’t made room for girls like me. I was still that girl, but I wasn’t defined by that alone anymore. I wasn’t just the weapon someone had forged me into. I wasn’t just a survivor of the thing that had tried to break me. I was someone who chose my power. Who chose my path. And someone who chose the people beside me. Who chose me back. The diploma was placed into my hands, and magic settled into place with a soft click that felt more like confirmation than an ending. I fell back into line with Kaia’s side, fingers brushing softly against her as we linked our arms.
