Grandma From The Lorax Novels & Stories

I point my chin down toward the two pairs of small ears listening to every single drop of our conversation. My mother freezes, her eyes going wide as she realizes what she has done, and she closes her mouth instantly. She reaches her hand down, smoothing out Liora’s messy black hair with a trembling palm. "Liora, sweet pup, did your grandma's loud voice scare your wolf?" Liora shakes her head back and forth, her huge eyes blinking up in the dim light. She has no idea what the pack elders' words mean. She only knows that her grandma’s scent smells like angry smoke whenever that old man is around.

Grandma says. “Excuse me? Gold digger?” I scoff. “Yes, gold digger. Otherwise, why would a man like my grandson pick you? I already have a girl for him. Tory Lane, come in,” she orders. Tory? My heart races, beads of sweat forming on my forehead. Tory walks in with her eyes on the ground. The grandma lifts her chin lightly, and she barely smiles. “Tory, do you even want this? Is this necessary?!” My voice cracks.

Everyone could not help but surround me. The bank statement showed only 8,800 dollars in the transaction. The transaction record exposed Emerald and Amelia’s carefully crafted lies, like a sharp weapon cutting through deception. The room fell into silence. The guests’ previous disdainful looks toward me shifted to shock and suspicion as they turned to the mother-daughter pair. Their fervent discussion rose like a tide. “Oh, my god! The wedding gift is only worth 8,800 dollars instead of 880,000 dollars. Mrs. Jones, why did you tell us such a big lie?”

Grandma trembled violently, and the prayer beads in her hand fell to the floor and scattered. Her cloudy eyes were instantly filled with tears. "That's right... It's because of the hornet's nest..." Grandma's lips trembled, tears streaming down her aged face. She reached out a trembling hand, wanting to touch my cheek. Lucas quickly stepped forward to support her, "Grandma, please don't get too emotional." "I'm not!" Grandma pushed him away, her gaze fixed on me. "Child, tell me one more thing, one more thing only our family knows!"

I echoed softly, my voice betraying a mix of astonishment and intrigue. Grandma nodded, her gaze steady and unwavering. "Yes, I practiced magic in the forest. It was a different time, a different life. The treehouse offered sanctuary and solitude, where I could hone my abilities away from prying eyes." I listened intently, absorbing each word as she unraveled the intricacies of her hidden past. The realization dawned on me that grandma's abilities were not merely folklore or imagination but a tangible part of her history, a legacy she had carried in secret.

, Greg reminded. "Are you referring to me as old, Greggy?", Grandma said and Grace chuckled. "N-no. Well, yes ! You're already old grandma . You're sixty years old already !", emphasized. Grandma folded his sweater's sleeves and acted to punch me but I stopped her and said sorry many times. Grace grins at me. I poked my tongue at her and she did the same then follow grandma in the kitchen. I closed my eyes and relax. I am feeling better now. I feel recharged.

"Everyone dies when they get old," Xavier Grayson said calmly to Liam Jr., "but Great-Grandmother is very healthy right now. She should be able to stay with you for a long time." Liam Jr. scribbled another question: What about Grandma? I like Grandma too. At the mention of An Lan, Xavier’s face darkened slightly. "Grandma is with Grandpa. She’ll come to visit you when she’s free." The Mystery of the Buried Brother

I wasn't able to step my legs closer to them because of my indescribable emotion. "Lora, could you help me get some fresh vegetables outside?" Grandma motioned to Lora who was sitting on the couch. She nodded and stood up hurriedly before she followed Grandma in the garden. But it was obvious that Grandma did it intentionally to give Brent and me a moment to talk with each other.

She was combing her doll’s hair. “Latch on her as long as you can, as close as you could.” It was Grandma’s voice. “Why?” Xyrus voice was both annoyed and hurt. “Latching on a bunch of fortune will bring you luck.” Her voice was weak and she couldn’t stop coughing in between her words. “I don’t want to force myself to someone who doesn’t like me.” His words were made of pain. I could feel it. “Stop her, Xyrus. Stop her at all cost. Never let her repeat her history with him.” Grandma was eager and selfish. I’ve never seen that side of her before.

she gasped. The tension in the room was so thick I thought I might suffocate. Everyone stared at Grandma, waiting for her next move. She slowly shuffled towards Trix, her eyes filled with a mix of emotions I couldn't decipher. "My word," she murmured, reaching out to touch his arm. "You've grown so much. I wouldn't have recognized you at first." Trix looked frozen, and his usual confidence was swapped for a hint of... uncertainty? This was getting weirder by the second. Who was grandma to Trix? And why was she acting like she knew him?
